    In english, soccer is something different than football. At least in america.
    Soccer is the thing with the round ball where people throw themself on the ground in fake pain, football is the game with the oval (?) Ball, where people throw themself into/through the other team in fake painlessness

    Or is it different elsewhere?

    there is only one football..... and Messi Neymar and Ronaldo r the 3 idiots of Football.....
    Europe getting conquered by English teams is a reality for football.....
    USA plays hugball.....thats not football....they play the NTR game with that ball.....u snatch it and beat em up....

    Not really, the most I watched was when I had some free time and there wasn't anything good on tv, and on a random channel there is some kind of soccer match going on live or replay.
