Usually when i click a tag on Qidian ( eg: easily, invincible) i get like 200+ pages of results but now i only see like 5 pages of result. and when i search a key world like "martial arts" i get 50 pages of result but now i get like 1 page of result. Have anyone saw anything like this b/f, if so how can i get around this ?
My problem is putting in the right novel name and still not get the novel to show up. Their search system is crap
Like @Kalto said, no "getting around" this. If they tweaked their search algorithm, then you have to get used to the new one. If they didn't, and the novels got deleted instead, then they're gone. If I were you, I'd complain to Qidian on their forum (or any customer support channel they have). How dare they treat a paying customer like this! But of course, you've already done that, right?
Like Miku said, isn’t this because of that chinese “unwanted books” purge?? If this recently happened, than it’s probably because of that.
Yeah, unfortunately about 1/4 of the top novels got purged. I happened to be aggregating popular novel links for a project and noticed that a lot of them were returning "missing page" error for Qidian.
Wow, I severely underestimated the problem. I did another scraping of the top ranked 4000 novels and around 45% lead to missing pages.
I've heard that the government doesn't like anything sexual, but they never seemed to care about violence before.
If that's the case it could be why Qidian is pushing Webnovel so hard and even opening an overseas office for it; trying to move their money-makers somewhere safe.
