Tenchi muyo series, Harem but so well done you will fall in love with all of the characters. 3 season plus ovas I second mushishi- the whole sense is eerie and calming at the same time. Full metal alchemist brotherhood. -64 episode most people rate this anime a 10/10 I really like natsume yuujinchao for a slower paced show-six seasons Steins gate- two seasons but I have only seen the first l. Stand alone for the season its self one of the best drama I watch anime wise. Very well paced. Watch memorize for a great drama- one season Parasyte the maxim- horror,drama,action I personally give 10/10 -one season. Re-zero- pulls you in and leave you wanting more, dropped in a foreign world anime that gracefully deals with every aspect of that troop.- one season might be picked up for a second Air gear- really good paced fighting anime about a former gymnast floating through life while fighting.nc Gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun- side splitting comedy- one season For longer shows pick up any of the long running shonen standards naruto, one piece, bleach ranma 1/2, jojo's bizarre adventure, detective conan.all of them have a ton of episodes. Card captor sakura- actually worth the watch though it seems childish at first. My bride is a mermaid- recently been gushed at that it's amazing. Death note- two season classic drama. I can think of more but I gotta go to work.
For comedy I support the following already recommended: Grand Blue, Nozaki-kun, One Punch Man. My own is - I can't understand what my husband is saying ( the japanese title is too long for me to remember but even googling this will get you results, just throw in the title wherever you watch anime) For Shounen: Magi, and its sequel Magi:The Kingdom of Magic. haibane renmei - peaceful, somewhat sad, bittersweet ending. iyashikei (feel good) anime. it was very subtle in its themes of loss, acceptance, friendship, and love (in forms non-romantic; the love between friends, family, and the love for the society/community you live in.) i think more people should watch this. also great soundtrack. guren lagann - fun hype turn-off-your-brain awesomeness, gainax style. actually anything by gainax (or trigger) go by this, with some weird retarded philosophy bs inserted just because. just google gainax/trigger animes. if you like silly over-the-top fun, you're going to love em. kakegurui - gambling anime with hot ecchi chicks who are either downright psycho, or downright psycho. no inbetween really. it's the kind of anime that goes all out in its extreme wtfness. great meme material. ecchi and unrealistic gambling rules aside, it's one of the few modern animes that, to me, make very interesting over-the-top, vivid characters that arent your cookie-cutter isekai/ln/shonen/popular animu tropes. the psychological aspect is done well too. baka to test to shoukanjuu - it was...surprisingly funny and a great watch to me. the only minus are the female characters. they're annoying and they're not cute or funny. i'd prefer if the show focused on the boys and their antics, way better imho. also this is the anime that popularized traps (hideyoshi-sama) so watch it for research. Fate/Zero - the show that roped me into fate and made me play through sakura's heavens feel route. has slow pacing, but the characters are complex and thoughtfully-made, the story is executed well, and the ending is, uh. the story's connected to the main fate franchise which i personally find meh, and it's a prequel to fate stay night or ubw, which are also pretty meh so the ending's kinda like a sad whimper to what could be a great orchestra. i was weirded out how it's so good because kinoko nasu's writing isn't my cup of tea, then i found out gen urobuchi wrote the story. no wonder it was good lol. he's a good writer. and now for something completely different thunderbolt fantasy - puppet show. just watch it man. it's good. i mean, really good. i am invested srsly. has two seasons. fun as hell characters and well-executed plot. gen urobuchi created it. sick sawano soundtrack with tm revolution vocals. watch ittttt
