Completely unrelated but I've been to Bangalore. I visited at the wrong time 'cause no matter where I went, it was hot af. The Taxi vs. Uber fights were fun to watch tho.

    Sorry, I don't translate, I read.
There's a fellow Indian translator, @Hasr11. They may be able to help you.

Idk about Chinese, though there’s a few private classes that teach Chinese in my city, I’m not sure they’re there in Bangalore.
My friend gave the TOPIK exam for Korean last year but she self studied afaik.

I’m assuming you’re asking about ‘learning japanese’, coz translating is mostly a hit and miss kinda thing, and frankly you need to know a bit of the language (alteast for Japanese) to do some decent translation work.

The official certification course for Japanese is JLPT, or the Japanese Language Proficiency test. It’s has 5 levels starting from N5 to N1, and even with an N3 certifaction, most Japanese companies would still consider you. It’s held twice a year in India, in July and December.
The registration for this year’s July attempt has closed, but you can try for N5 in December
U can register for Bangalore here
    http://bnkindia.in/

Edit: Registrations for December usually start in August-September.
Some universities do offer Japanese as an optional course, but I know only the ones in my city. U can google it if you want.

Universities of that kind would not be very popular with Indian parents, and since they're the ones footing the bill... Fat luck getting a liberal education.

They have courses for that in colleges and universities, but of course, not in each and every one of them;). For schools, maybe there are some but more like a 3rd language.

Interesting. My university (American) is a research university. It does very well in medical, engineering, and programming fields. But it also has very strong foreign language departments. I’m personally in the East Asian Languages and Literatures department studying Japanese literature.
