It has been almost a decade since I truly watched One Piece. I most likely wont watch it anymore since it has no end in sight just like Detective Conan. I don't intend to be like the fans of Golgo 13 which has been ongoing since 1968. I love closure and with something like Golgo 13, it is 90% likely that the author will pass away before the story is concluded
sensei says one piece is gonna be a great treasure. that means he probably already has it planned out. but that is coming from me who last read OP last year.
Hven't watched the anime, but it took reading all of 5 chs (of the manga) to be able foresee that. Needless to say, dropped at ch 5.
OP went tdownhill when they reached the Merman island and I ain't just talking about fillers and recaps every freaking first 5min of a new episode, starting from there it's the same thing everytime, they split into groups and run around.
shouldn't One Piece already be around 2/3-3/4 through? I'm assuming that there will be maybe two more arcs before the final island, no? and the grand finale should be another 100-200 episodes at most. Soooo, I'd say 2 years +/- 1 year till the end? and I totally agree. Punk Hazard, Dressrosa and Fishman Island were still arcs I liked, but the newer ones didn't really strike my fancy, so I stopped watching after dressrosa, only taking sneakpeeks
i do wish they'd make up a one piece: "abridged" that cut out all that god awful repeat nonsense it got super hung up on for any event lasting longer than an episode (not remaking the show, just literally splicing that shit out). once all the fat's been trimmed out, the show isn't all that bad, aside from that really out of place wacky races styled arc with the foxy pirates... it was bad in the subbed version, and even worse in the dubbed. *shudder*
It probably is. Someone was on my back because I pointed out that initially Naruto and Bleach were more popular at least here in the West
yes yes let's respect that 1000 chapters one piece at, right? I ain't read through that much chaps and eps
I heard of One Piece from a friend a decade ago. Googled it once, instead of one piece (anime), it showed me one piece (lingerie). Never read the manga, but I never regret watching a few seasons of the anime.
I am someone who started one piece.. five years ago I think. I did take a break in the middle but right now I follow the anime every week. Look, it's true that like anything one piece has its ups and downs. But, as someone who watched A Lot of anime, I can tell you that one piece is truly at the top of the top. Yes, the manga is better, so if you don't mind reading manga I will recommend the one piece manga. Beside, there is the website one.pace with much fastar pace. One piece is absulotly worth reading/watching. For me it's really sad that I can somehow see the end. Honestly, I hope that one piece will continue for years and that Oda sensei will always be healthy.
Imagine if oda sensei has a masterplan where he plans out the future of one piece, like how many arcs, how the arcs will go, how will the world end up like, what evolution the characters will take, how the final war will end etc. And put it all in his will to be pass on to a sucessor (most probably a helper that he has been secretly training) should he ever pass away without finishing one piece.
