Discussion Shokugeki no Soma Ended

So this seres Ended now and really this is a trashy end or the whole last arc was trash it started a bit interessting wit the dark cooks but it went to a stupid way.
In particular with the BLUE, but when was it again when this series went downhill?
Also there were many more ways to continue this series like in those sport series with an Inter High or something like that in my opinion, but what do you guys think?

 

It went down when the flashbacks intensified.

 

It ended so abruptly. I was actually expecting another arc to start and then they smashed my hopes. Damn, I'm still shocked at how stupid the ending was

I stopped reading the Shokugeki manga after they were in a mansion in the midst of a challenge I think? with Erina's dad or something like that. The dude was rich, that's all I can recall.

 

The problem was that at that point it was basically a Yakitate! Japan clone. They needed to change it up to be its own think.

This abrupt end is just latest in a long line of canceled manga.

 

They should have ended when soma became elite #1.
All those flashback and blue stuff were not necessary.
Although, I would appreciate an epilogue regarding their future

 

I had a terrible misunderstanding when i went to look for and watch this series together with my young niece. Her mother think i let her watch hentai
When the character start having their reaction a that moment i thought "OH MY GOD ! That's sounds like something else !"
Then i met my friend eyes who glared at me

 

One of the worst ending of my favorite manga..... Why did it ending this weird.

 

3 more epilogue chapters are left

 

I just read it for completing sake after they pull "Plenty shark fin umami" on ch 308. Shark fin are tasteless ingredients and chef use other stock for enriching flavour of their shark fin soup.

 

While the cook offs were fun, the stakes practically held no meaning so there was no tension.

I stopped reading.. 100 chapters in the manga. Or a bit more.

I might finish it off now it's been confirmed to be ending, even if the rest of it is a flaming dumpster truck.

 

I'm not too disappointed with the ending.. as I think the plot has gone awry, it would be better to end it ambiguously..

Well, not like I have a lot of expectation on it.. my favorite cooking manga is still Chef Mitsuboshi by Tsuyoshi Yakou.. at least I don't remember any fantasy elements on it..

I dropped it when Souma's dad got defeated and the dude is wooing erina, that was some bullshit.

as far as manga about food go and I might get bombed for this since no one has mentioned it but one of if not my fav one is Toriko

 

Shokugeki no Soma lost focus on what made it good, the foodgasms. You could blame the story's editorial department for trying to push some sort of battle manga nonsense (to my knowledge). Stories like this have a problem with repetition in their formula, It is the bane of cooking manga. I haven't read toriko yet but it seems to have overcome this issue.

Yaketate Japan peaked with the Pierrot Arc and quickly died thereafter.

 

I don't understand why the series ended before we get to see the mother of FL eating the dish and liking it.

 

welp, time to continue reading right at the end. Lest regret start to pile up.
