I noticed that the author puts a lot of emphasis on manners and a humble mc in ze tian ji. And then I compared Cheng changshen to other MCs
Do you enjoy MCs like this more or the arrogant type?

 

i prefer an MC with manners. Asshole/arrogant MCs are a great way to make me lose interest. It's why i don't read many chinese novels

 

Isn't there a Chinese saying which goes like Neither servile nor overbearing, neither obsequious nor supercilious. I like that kind.

I come from a classical/traditional music family background so...fuck manners! I'm tired of this bullshit!! (But in novels I'd love to see a gentleman protagonist with style.)

 

I prefer the calmed type, doesn't need to be smart only collected and not act in impulse doing stupid things without considering the consequences even if he does something that isn't the optimal solution at least he thought what might happen afterwards

 

I forgot which series had a MC like that but i really liked when he was nether of both.

 

There was one cultivation mc who transmigrated and i think his head went cukoo.
He received cheat that lets him endlessly revive, regenerates instantly and pain setting dialed to 0.
Maybe that caused his brain to short circuit and he puts all his cultivation into strength stat. Brute force his way up the cultivation ladder ignoring the steps.
If things does not go his way, or require him to have understanding of the way, he kicks them away just keep adding strength.
A tyrant who kills anyone who goes again him.
The only reason i finished the novel is because i want to see what happened in the end. Boy was i not happy.

Arrogant MCs tend not to think. The are so full of themselves they only think how something affects them and what they're going to do about it no matter the consequences. It pisses me off, and puts me off numerous novels.

So yes- I do prefer polite MCs. As long as they're not push overs.

 

Same, the arrogant MC's tend to get so fucking annoying, also many times this type of Mc ends up with a gigantic harem.
