Discussion Chilli's are part of the Souls of Many asians

One day, I thought to myself: "Wow, chillis are used a lot in Asian cuisine," and many Asian dishes are spicy, hot. For instance, my family is Korean, so every day we eat some sort of dish with Asian chillis or dried flakes like kimchi, pickled radishes, or Gochujang. So I was wondering if the chillis in people's cultures are hot and what spicy dishes are there in other countries.

 

I'm Chinese American (born and raised in America). Until I met my current boyfriend (who is Thai/Vietnamese American), I could not eat spicy food at all.

Now, I can eat some spicy, but I generally prefer nonspicy dishes over spicy dishes.

 

That sound gooooood!

 

Without chilies, my life will not complete. In my country, we ate plenty dishes with chilies as part of main ingredients. For example is sambal. Taste so good, eating it with hot rice and use it as dipping sauce with fresh herbs.

Anyway, because of chilies contains Capsaicin (help losing weight quickly and permanently), most Asians look slim. That's one of the benefits eating chilies. No need to diet or force yourself to eat less.

 

"Just eat chillis and you'll lose 10kg in less than a month" that should be a slogan of some Asian restaurant.

IAM A foodie and particularly fan of spicy food.,
Chilli is core to prepare so many spicy foods and with exotic recipes
Asians mainly really prefers chilli based curry's and they are most popular like Chilli Chicken

I even plant it at my garden. And for some reasons, it's spicier than the ones in the market xD

 

In markets they add some chemicals like gibberlic acid and NAA chemicals to make capsaicin less effective it will cause the spicy levels to drop significantly

 

When I see a westerner eat Indomie Mie Goreng

and yelled: "THIS IS TOO SPICY FOR ME!", my mind will go: "The Hell? That's not even the spiciest Indomie out there..."

Of course, since I usually sprinkle this thing on my meal, I might be an outlier...

 

I think spicy food is delicious but I have cat's tongue so I usually avoid it since start crying if I eat anything too spicy. I even sneeze from smelling extra spicy food

 

I like eating this.

I can take shots of tobacco.

I had microwave chicken tikka, and added red pepper flakes, (as I always do) because it isn’t spicy enough.

Five star Thai food is rather mild, and needs heaping spoonfuls of the weapons grade Thai chilies.

I have no taste buds left.

 

I enjoy some mild ones, my body cannot handle the true spicy ones. I get nosebleed and/or sore throat afterwards

 

Have you try Indonesian sambal Lvl 10? It's so spicy that makes you lip on fire... Oh some Indonesian like me love to eat raw chili..

And Don't forget about Rice, Rice is staple food that rules supreme over many asian Countries! All hail Rice! "RICE SUPREMACISTS"
