    In my opinion, novels are better than manhwa, manhua, and manga. Manhwa, manhua, and manga are better than anime.

    Novel > Manhua, manhwa, manga > Anime

    Well, you're on a site called Novel Updates, so I think the majority would agree with you.

    It depends, each has their ups and downs. Of course a lot of the quality is lost turning from novel to manga to anime due to either shortage of time/space or to make it more acceptable to a wider audience. That said, there are some things which end up better as anime/manga simply because visualizing it has a greater impact than simply words.

    While I like the extra details, it also greatly increases the time it takes to read a chapter, so I'm more likely to get tired of reading, whereas manga takes an instant to understand a scene. Anime with the fixed length is much to slow for my liking.

    Can't quite say I'm more of a fan of one than the others but I have definitely spent the most time on novels. It's the easiest thing to digest and most convenient to read. Now watching anime feels like I have to commit before starting a new series.

    Manga, though is able to convey visually, at times compromises and simplifies the more difficult and complicated emotions that can be clearly be conveyed with words.

    Point taken as well

    I agree novel is the best medium cos easier and faster to read. But anime is more satisfying cos it's in motion.

    Novel > Manga > Anime

    I like isekai and villainess and there's more novels of those then manga and anime. Novels also include more details while manga chapters are published at a slow rate because it requires more (translate, redraw, etc) and anime take a long time to watch.

    I think that it can depend at times since one medium could come before the other is made. For instance Novel before Manga and Anime in which during the making of said mediums a number of corrections could be made to make both the story and plot much better. Like taking care of any inconsistency that on the written medium.

    Depends. Can you imagine how the world of one piece described in a novel format?
    Can you feel the thrill in a car race simply by reading rather than watching like initial D?

    Point taken. The I Alone Level up Manhwa had better pacing than the novel.

    I agree with one piece, but if written well enough, novels could portray aspects and thrills of a car race just as well, or even better with vivid language and details.

    I prefer the original format of the story so for example.
    Overlord = novel
    Gundam = anime
    Onepunch man = manga

    i would say :
    novels > manga > anime
    novels #1 cause i enjoy imagining how the world in the novel looks like
    manga #2 well the art work and how it comes together in panels
    anime #3 too much filler and it cuts out a lot from the book/manga
