    so qidian just made another new thing in which we need at the minimum of around 400 spirit stone to read novel, I don't know if it work for all or only for that particular novel that we pay.

    People still complain about QI :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:, people wouldn't have a need to complain if they read the novels somewhere else like plenty of other people but I guess they like having something to bitch and moan about... Not directed towards OP :cookie::cookie::cookie:

    I'm pretty sure that you can still read new chapters on their scheduled releases. That 400 stone thingy was only for those willing to pay for advance chapters.

    they need to pay to gain access(privilege) to read the advance chapter and also need to pay ss to unlock each chapter.

    ok so, truthfully there were many novels that I like there but I only read through the pirated site because of their stone thingy, but because of this new thing there was no release on the pirated site that I read actually I was thinking if maybe some of you know a good site maybe you can share.

    Dude they can get greedy because there are idiots who pay for it. The sad thing is they became like that.
    I remeber the times when there were only pirates and and all was good.

    People who want to pay can pay. Hopefully, the money is going to the original authors and translators. As for me, I'm here to farm nuffies.

    Well, if you can offer a better solution where everyone will be happy please offer it
    Don't say Kindle Unlimited
    when was the last time Amazon made an unknown author a millionaire?
    What about Syosetu/Alphapolis?
    At the end of the day, the model works. People are quitting Engineering jobs, tenured University jobs to write online in China.
    Like I have said before, you have to exploit one side to make things work
    Either exploit the authors like Amazon does or exploit the readers like Qidian is doing.
    It is only in a Utopia that you can pay $1 for a book and authors will still earn enough money to survive.
    But this community is even worse and wants to spend $0 and expect an industry to thrive..
    Ridiculous!
