I actually don’t know if she met the brother. From what I remember, the Duke’s Granddaughter was only remembering rumors she heard about the brothers, and how it was said that the brother was better because the MC was said to be arrogant. After meeting the MC the Duke’s Granddaughter came to the conclusion that the rumors were untrue, since the MC was the most “gentlemanly” out of everyone she had met that night.

 

My previous post meant : "It was strange to leave the party of her engagement with the brother so it makes more sense she was not the one that was in the engagement / But i also thought that she just took a break only to go into the party to see her fiancé the brother (i was reading between the lines / predicting what happens outside what show the manga)."

I'll try to answer the questions above,
first, the duke's daughter is not his brother's fiancee.
she get out from the party to see MC's mother who she adore so much. and because what happen, she decide not to go back to the party and volunteer to guide them to apologize for the trouble.

second, (in later chapter) MC's ability to eat magic stone will be explain that he is currently the only one in the world who can eat magic stone
he can eat it because he has racial ability (yup, he is not 100% human. I will not tell what race) to absorb others ability (in this case demon's ability from its magic stone)
and because magic stone is poisonous to human. the poison decomposition helps him to neutralize the poison.
so yeah... he is the only one in the world

 

This is just a guess, I haven’t read more than Ch 2 of the Manga: I’m pretty sure he has Toxin Decomposition EX, and not a skill to make him eat them, which means others would be poisoned unless they have a high ranking Poison/Toxin Resistance/Decomposition skill, also, it’s basically common sense that you shouldn’t eat or lick Magic Stones, I’m pretty sure he is the only one he can do it

From a logical point of view, his skill should be an active skill that remove the toxins of the magic stone. OKAY ? (Edit: and any other poison whatever but we don't care)
Unless it's explained, it's not said it's a skill that do : "REMOVE TOXINS ONLY IN CONTACT WITH BODY". So normally if MC wants, he should be able to detoxify and give the eatable stone to someone else for an upgrade.

So that’s what you meant, well, I can’t say you’re wrong, after all he did detoxify that Flame-whatever-rose without consuming it, but there’s also a big possibility that those “toxins” inside the Magic Stones are the Magic Stones power, so it might not work unless the person himself/herself have the skill to detoxify and absorb said power, but well, these are all only speculations, we won’t really know unless, as you’ve said, the skill gets more explanation in later chapters

Actually there are not even 3 chapters, there are only 2 so far and for some reason the translator released the first chapter split in two, check the raws.
