Stop forcing people to meet your standards of fan translators.

If you want the moral high ground then purchase 100% of the content that you consume.
You cannot take the moral high ground only when it's convenient .

It’s honestly sad when someone has a point but people disparage them simply because they don’t like how they do business. Keep the person and site on separate sides.

With how many people seem to dislike Wujigege, I wouldn’t be surprised.

It would be one thing if we just we didn't like Wujigege's site. We could just not read there. The reason we hate him is he's constantly bragging about his site and s***ing on everyone who doesn't like it. Are you saying he's allowed to badmouth us but we can't badmouth him back?

I think you underestimate the filth that we have in this community.
Things like lynching works because people just need an echo and it is not just people me.
Others have gotten their websites shutdown from bogus DMCA claims.
Seeing such people claim moral high ground is pathetic.

Why none just make use his own weakness ? Translate the next chapter that he put in his site and outpace his translation speed. His site are probably less user friendly due to ads so the user would immediate left it for the next chapter and beyond.

 

I’m just saying it’s an endless cycle of hate. He’s making a legitimate point that we don’t have much of a right to complain. True, he doesn’t either, but that’s his problem.

Most of us are leechers, so we aren’t really able to complain about someone making money. If you want to complain about his site, aim for the lack of licenses or stealing other people’s translations, not the ad placements and splitting of chapters.

I’m not saying he’s right, I’m saying that we aren’t either. I don’t like what he does, however that doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy.

Plus, I don’t recall him ever bragging about his site? He’s given his thoughts on business, sure, but that’s all I’ve seen.

I honestly just feel like this is as toxic as the WW vs. QI times.

His stuff is probably on aggregator sites if you care that much.

I find this funny as not just one but lots could use that strategy, while it is a good idea but I don't think it is perfect solution

 

There was a thread complaining about a translator splitting chapters into parts and putting it on Patreon.
Given how it is so common that it is a standard is laughable.
The leechers have so many demands

• Split chapters into parts that I deem large enough
• Have Patreon tier when I deem that you can.
• I want to read my chapter yesterday. I demand an immediate release.

I hate to break it to them but demanding someone work for free is extortion
