Some people like to "adopt" other members as their "mothers"/"brothers"/etc here on the forum. When people who already have "relations" gain more, those new "relations" become "related" to the others... Thus building a family tree. Family trees can be very complicated things. I personally don't even bother checking them...
The name is used for various groups of NUF users ( of both past and present) to project a mutual virtual family that sticks together for a period of time
I wonder how big it is by now? Last time I saw it, or one of them, it was around 20 or so people You could ask @AliceShiki or @Pyoo , iirc they were in one
eh theyre a bit bigger than that just the meatbun tree has 10 or so already and were linked to others
Reminds me of an old TV quote: “The Caine family tree is more like a creeping vine.” -King Fu the legend continues
Wow. Only people who have never spent serious time building a real family tree and all the research and record searching that entails would create virtual family trees with random strangers. I guess the only upside is the number of people in it would be smaller than a real tree, that has been researched to some degree. Just one of the 4 major trees for my family has something like 1500 people in it.
The simplest one is frostfire one and its like 8 nuffians connected with a single arrow only (unlike other trees where someone is both grandpa and daughter of someone else at the same time)
IDk if you're joking or not, but a Nuf Family tree is basically a bunch of tree all categorized under one group/family which is called a Nuf. So basically a NUF family tree is a group of trees that have similiar traits or properties and are so grouped together to form a family called a NUF..
Basically, the more active NUF members (mainly the ones active in profile posts and/or games section) often get close to each other and decide to either adopt one another, become brother/sisters or marry. Generally this is made on a whim and doesn't have any real implications... Sometimes the relationship goes beyond just a joke and starts becoming more serious, but that's rare and generally happens only to the people that are more addicted to NUF. At 3 different times, people tried recording all the family trees of NUF into a big single thread, but they quickly discovered it was really hard to keep track of all that, so they gave up on it. That's the gist of it, you don't need to worry about the family tree much overall though~
