It’s clear many people here are upset (and some wants the arsonist punished), but we should also show some sincerity by offering our sympathies to the victims and their families of this tragic event.
Setting a studio on fire is only going to hurt the owners financially. The employees caught in it are just doing their jobs, they don't get to decide what happens to your waifu. That's like killing a delivery driver carrying a load of processed meats because you're against cruel farming practices.
Only problem I have with this is the Kotaku link. Fuck them and everyone that works there. [Edit] I'm only talking about the news source, not the contents of it.
Because, they're a shitty new source. They're all sjw's and far-leftists. They do more complaining and political agenda pandering than actual game journalism.
I just copied the link of the first result I saw when I was trying to copy a link for the news so yeah, fuck them
That's tragic news. I hope injured people will all get healthy. So, next trend in isekai will involve groups of middle-aged people dying in a fire and sent to another world?
Things escalates quickly. https://www.scmp.com/news/asia/east...-dead-suspected-arson-fire-japanese-animation
Don't know if this is the right forum for this, if not can a moderator move it into the right one? Has anyone heard more about this
there's a pretty informative thread on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/cemj4w/kyoto_animation_studio_kyoani_had_a_fire_break/
i hope that guy who lit the place is not an ex-animator working there. If so, anime industry would be f*cked-up now...
