    From what NHK reported the arsonist has a criminal record of robbery which got him in jail for 3 years and he also has mental illness of some kind didn't say what exactly.

    Death count rose to 34.
    Also, there was interview from Japanese mass media with KyoAni president Hideaki Hatta, he stated that all of the past animation materials and computers housed in Kyoto Animation's 1st Studio building were destroyed. By his words they lost nearly everything.
    And doctors said that it will take about a week to confirm identity of those who died.
