I'm asking this question because i just learned learned that some Westerners if they aren't using chopsticks, they use fork instead or most of the time they only use Fork and Knifes in most meals. So the question is, what do folks use when eating your meals? Me? Most of the time i use Spoon and Fork when i'm eating any meal with rices sometimes hand if i'm feeling it and when eating soups a spoon.
Hand, chopsticks and those short chinese spoons. Ai-chan doesn't use spoon and fork unless it's at a western setting or it's hard to find a wash basin at the venue.
primarily I use my brain so that I understand what I am eating and the most appropriate method of eating based on the current situation >.> following that I use my mouth and throat in equal measure, making sure my tongue and teeth are ready and out of each others way to make it easier to swallow. and so that the whole event isn't an exercise in futility, I keep a stomach on hand to digest and make sure I can last to reach the next meal :3
Fork for any non-soup foods. My non-asian friends laugh at me for asking for a fork when at Chinese restaurants while they use the pre-placed chopsticks.
Chopsticks for the majority [rice/noodles/a.k.a almost anything solid] Spoon for minority + something liquid (can you eat a liquid/soup with chopstick?) Fork + Knife for steak, etc Just do as the romans do, otherwise I use chopsticks for the majority of the food
I literally use my hands when I eat meals eith roce most of the time because washing the spoons and forks are a pain in the ass
wahh! i miss eating using hands only~ Its fun specially when u r having boodle fight~ im mostly using spoon n fork too though.. then sometimes chopsticks when eating noodle type foods or in cn resto...
You just learned that westerners aren't using chopsticks...? How old are you? I use either a fork or a spoon coz I prechop my food when cooking.
Fork, big spoon, little spoon, butterknife, knife, chopsticks, hands, and I think tortillas should count too. (I don't like the sound knives make when they scrape the plate, so I try to avoid using them whenever I can.)
