That's basically the same thing, right? The point (I think) he's making is to use an app that instantly translates a page instead of tediously translating each bubble. What you just did is the same as this: Person 1 (op): dude I found the easiest way to quickly do maths sums, just use this Casio calculator Person 2 (You): how is that better than just using this Texas Instruments calculator?
Actually I think it's more like Person 1, "you can do maths easier with this calculator" (it's fast and can do many calculations at once and end results are same) Person 2 "what makes it different from using your fingers to count" Just tried it myself and it does seem to work pretty well, but there are times when object you search for is wrong (bunch of times actually). There are some times when the text isn't picked up properly (likely to do with the focus of your camera or the symbol recognition.) In the end it's still MTL, but just more convenient, and seems you can copy shit off PDF (pirating textbooks anyone?). It seems you have to pick up things through your camera instead of looking things from your screen, and prob only on your phone too, so the convenience may take a bit of a dive.
