Resolved Er Gen shared universe

Do Er Gen's novels make sense as standalone pieces or do you have to read some specific novel for the others to make sense?

I was thinking about reading Renegade Immortal but when I saw that there were 4-5 other novels (each over a thousand chapters long) in the shared universe it kinda scared me off...

 

They are all independent, a few characters and events might be mentioned between them but you don't need to read any of the others to enjoy one of them.

 

Its depend, if you already get used to general xianxia then its will make sense

 

Though some people considered it as such. I like to think otherwise, for me each book are all in different universe. Though there are some plot inclined that the universe are shared. I prefer to think that what happened in the book are not related to the other book. The book are great as it already are, wouldn't want it to be related somehow which make my brain cell popping because some of the things are really different.

To answer your question... No you do not need to read it in order. Just read whatever book you wanted. The shared universe are literally small matter. If you are truly worried it might spoiled the previous book you should read in this order

1- Pursuit of truth
2- Renegade Immortal
3- I Shall Seal the Heaven
4-

After number 3 i have not yet read the rest of the book i wouldn't not sure if the other book really relatable.

Yeah I'd be careful of reading I Shall Seal The Heavens first, I'm pretty sure there are some spoilers of Renegade Immortal and Pursuit of the Truth in there.
