What the hell. I think I should not even start this horrible novel even.

 

I skipped to near the end and basically, with the help of the prince, MC's daughter got her kidney back while the adopted granddaughter got the kidney of a 20 year old (?) convict. The adopted granddaughter tried to come back home but she was rejected by the grandmother and grandfather (of ml's). There is then a time skip where MC's daughter is now married to said prince and had twins. ML pushed the Chu business onto them while he went around traveling with MC. On the side note, apparently MC's daughter health doesnt seem good since there was mention how the palace prepared doctors for her.

I am randomly reading raw chapters and can someone explain who is this 5-year old child the Chu's adopted in chapter 479? Why Chu Lui's mother is saying that it is his child?

 

What happen was they found out ML is actually infertile due to his new wife secretly putting stress reliever (?) drugs in his coffee which had a nasty aftereffect-- it could potentially cause infertility. If they had caught it on within a year, they could of solved the issue, but she continued to do it for over 4 years, making it impossible to restore what has been done. Because of this, his parents felt that they could no longer have any blood related grandchild and could only adopt (by then, they still didn't know about MC's daughter's existence). One day after coming home, ML see's a 5 year old child. Turns out his mother adopted the child from a welfare home and put her as his daughter under his name. Afterwards, she wanted him to hold her and acknowledge the girl as his new daughter (the grandmother was very fond of her but the grandfather wasn't because the girl wasn't related to them by blood and he could tell how spoiled she was).
