I get redirected to another site called ptscans which is currently set to private. My guess would be that they go through a name (and probably also server) change atm.
Been wondering the same thing. I thought there was an announcement saying they'd be back in a day or so, but it seems to be taking longer.
Unless they're planning to let go some of their scan projects or collaborate with someone, it still doesn't change their horrible reputation on hogging popular series and slow releases even if they re-brand themselves. I must admit, their work progress is fast. However, they're taking far too much, that their taken series is updated once in a blue moon(ofc, their priority series are released at fast rate tho). Thank god tho, they got greedy and tried to smear MD's reputation, along with many scans groups(failed horribly), good riddance.
The reason why they rarely update some series while some other series gets updated regularly, is because they won't update without money. If you pay them, they will release a chapter. If you don't, they will keep the already completed translations in storage until you do pay them. By the time they release paid chapter 12, chapter 14 is already done, they just won't release 13 and 14 because you only paid for chapter 12. Is that dastardly? Ai-chan doesn't know. It's just their business model. What Ai-chan cannot accept is their bullying of other translators who want to take over, for free, since Champion Scans aren't going to release their translation without money. After a new translator takes over suddenly, Champion Scans release a number of free chapters, pressuring the new translator to quit, claiming it's their title. The problem is, by the time the new translator took over, it's been 4 months since Champion Scans made a release. And once this translator quits, maybe because of the behind-the-door bullying or just out of respect, Champion Scans suddenly goes quiet again, expecting you to pay them for each chapter, when they were so eager to release free chapters to kick their competition out earlier. Nobody wants to deal with that kind of harassment especially when they're doing it for free. What started out as a free community service for those who can't read Japanese and having to wait and wait for the chapters that never came, turned into a chore. Because this translator had to deal with Champion Scans harassment until he'd then decide, "Screw this. Champion Scans can take back the title." And once Champion Scans has no competition, they don't release anymore.
Looks like their wordpress is back up, and they've now renamed themselves “Project Time”. They've nuked their old posts though for whatever reason.
