This isn't really that weird. A lot of elderly and overweight folks use these to put on socks because they have trouble or are completely incapable of doing so otherwise.

 

Uhh.. I'm pretty sure that product is targeted towards people with disabilities.

Just because the models are perfectly fine, doesn't really mean they're weird or trashy inventions.

I find some inventions to be useful? Like air-conditioning pants and clothes. I have to work in hot humid area where the fans like to blow the freaking hot air in my face, so having cold air to prevent my body from overheating is nice. As for the phone booth aquarium, it is more of an art piece.

 

The animated piggy bank is a kid's nightmare fuel lol.

And the cushion for work while on your tummy is tempting

 

Now the real question is why hasn't anyone developed a thermal controlled jacket for me to wear with both heating and cooling capabilities. Like with thermal conductive pathways going to high capillary areas of the body to directly control the body temperature of the wearer. It should be that hard and I'd be willing to pay several thousand dollars if it meant always being the correct temperature.

Ok so here is a question. If elderly people could not put socs on their legs normally so how do they put socs on that weird useless sh**t?
