this is japanese novel the story is about a human who was around age 60, picked up an abandoned elf girl and adopt her as his daughter and pupil. The old man was a master of martial arts and teaching the elf girl. He then died of old age when the elf girl was still young, i think around age 12-14. The old man reincarnated as elf boy ?? kinda forgot, and realized many years have passed after he reincarnated. His daughter have become a very strong martial artist and was one of the most important figure of the world. The old man then decided to enjoy his second life and aiming to become a great martial artist again.
Should this be forgotten title instead of recommendations? Or are you just looking for something similar to this?
oh yes forgotten series haha sorry for the wrong title and yes it was Bu ni Mi wo Sasagete Hyaku to Yonen. Elf de Yarinaosu Musha Shugyou thanks a lot
It's infuriating to see novel writting, MC wants a wife in this second life but somehow is totally oblivious to the feelings of the girls and/or is not interested in them despite being in the same age as them. I want to punch the MC in the face for being so stupid.
Did he say he wanted a wife? Anyways i thought he had decided to travel and train as a martial artist before revealing himsef to alma alma. From there i i suppo he would start thinking about relationships
For some reason i remember him having a random thought about it (getting a wife) about no regrets blablabla.
Yeah i i think he mentioned while he was dying that one of his regrets was that he was forever alone (never held a womans hand was his words i believe). So he will obviously try to remedy that at some point it just never seemed to be a priority in his mind after rebirth. He has a shit long lifespan now so it honestly isn't something he has to worry about for a few hundred years at least
No i remember him wanting a wife as an after thought before going explore the world. I felt pissed because of him already surrounded by girls but him not taking notice of them. Sigh... but yeah maybe because they got kiddie figures so maybe i can't really entirely blame him.
It is normal for an adult man to not be interested in children. Many times Japanese authors forget this and push their own fetishes on their characters
I agree but when authors use other methods (dense or not accepting high school age as legal) to make MCs not interested in girls in love for him, that really piss me off.
Yeah that is frustrating af. Many times you look at a protagonist and just want to shout in their ear: "GROW A PAIR SHITHEAD!!!"
