Ok, so recently I have had a craving to watch a female protagonist get summoned into another world instead of a male, but my problem? I looked and couldn't find anything, the only thing that I've found through searching is novel's and manga's, but no anime's in sight. So if anyone has any recommendations out there, it would be really appreciated :)

Fun trivia: Most of the earliest "isekais" had female MCs, like InuYasha and Fushigi Yuugi (both hv animes; check them out, they're good).

If you don't mind old stuff
    Fushigi Yugi
    Magic Knight Rayeart
    Genmu Seki Leda
    The vision of Escaflowne
12 kingdoms. This is very recommendable and it seems the novels it's based on are very good.

It's time travel but you could say that Inuyasha is similar to that.

    Tweeny Witches
    Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle

I also recommend 'Twelve Kingdoms' you can find the first 2 seasons free with Amazon prime (though season 4 is my favorite)

I would recommend against watching Twelve Kingdoms. The author died before he could finish the novels, so the anime suffers an abrupt end. If you're fine with that be my guest. It's great till the sudden end with nothing resolved.

So I'm a spider? So what! is suppose to come out 'soon'™

Now, if you don't care about the set up(transported to another world) but the setting(fantasy/historical fantasy), there's other anime I could recommend.
Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit 9/10 (solid all the way through)
Blade & Soul 5/10 (strong start, but meh finish)
Claymore 7/10 (strong till the very last arc, then it's crap because it deviates from the manga with a crap final boss fight. But you can skip the end and go read the manga to get the later half of the story unlike 12 kingdoms)
Slayers 8/10 (classic high fantasy with a city nuking sorceress protag, like 4 sets of anime, and a few OVAs)

Thanks Daitengu, I've added all of those to my list of what I'm going to watch after Douluo Dalu 2, pretty much all of them seem like something I would watch so it was very helpful :)
