uhh...chapter 1 is up? check novel page if anyone can go over it, please do and leave a comment. there were parts i'm not too sure about. also, not too sure if i can finish the whole novel... first time translating >.<
The MC had a happy marriage with her first husband, Pei Yanzhen until some meddlers recalled that someone married to the Pei family has the surname as MC's mother. They investigated and found that they have some distant familial ties -> forcibly annulled marriage by Imperial Decree since it sparked a petition and the Emperor thinks it would muddle the morals. With the second husband Song Xiyuan, it was discovered she was pregnant. The first doctor said she was 4 months pregnant (4 months ago, she was still with Pei Yanzhen). They sought for another doctor who said 2 months pregnant (2 months then it would be Song Xiyuan's). The nosy Emperor decides to interfere again and sent for the imperial physician who declared 3 months. However, 3 months ago, she wasn't with anyone -> tarnished her reputation due to the attention. So she decided to grab Song Xiyuan's seal, stamped it on a letter of divorce and ran home to avoid shaming his reputation as well. He came to her house several times but she refused to see him and left her father or aunt to deal with the poor guy instead. It's a pretty quirky and hilarious story.
What I wanna know is that "who does she end up with?" Or is it like one of those novels with open endings
