Forgotten Title Trying to find something i read partway but never finished...

Guy goes to a school, basically nobles hate him, he's for the commoners. theres another rival school thats like purely nobles. they can practice fighting in this Dream realm state. him and what i would consider his lover leave the school to find something where the founder's lover taught to find something their school's founder may have placed something etc etc... I do believe that he could also make inscriptions or something like that where he would make his own.... yada yada
