Btw, despite not a ton of chapters like any popular series, the chapters are quite long and damn you feel like it's endless. You become happy about it but also bored if you read too much.

 

Yes, it's best to think of MC as a vending machine possessed by a spirit of vending machine otaku. Later he gets ability to transform into different kinds of vending machines (and I am quite impressed with the variety of them in Japan!), but he still remains a not quite animate metal box.

It's been a while so I can't remember what the other 2 are called. One is the martial arts system where the practitioners rank up through enlightenments. I can't remember the 3rd, something like being an inherent demi-god or something. Anyway, the inhabitants know about the Game System, but only acknowledge that it's good enough to get "the players" to transcend, but then the players usually stall out compared to the other systems. The MC surprises them, of course.

 

Sigh... it doesn't count if the system(s) is something the world knows like the sky is blue.
I want something like THE BIG SECRET of MC and it's discovered or shared with someone close.

I think Upgrade specialist kinda is one but the reactions are not that big. The thief friend somehow knows that MC can upgrade stuffs. Hmmm maybe not really a system reveal.

Sovereign of the Karmic System is a system that most 'higher' ups know exist... but each system is different and nobody knows the exact details of each system... It's also one of the few where the system is actually plotting against the MC.

 

Maybe you should widen the scope to include any secret power being found out. It's really annoying how every fking MC hides his abilities or possesion of an artifact/weapon for ridiculous lengths of time, even from his loved ones. I would love to see them exposed.

For your information there is the cooking series of Shinsori (changed name of domain) with noble female MC where MC reveals that she reincarnated to another reincarnator, half enjoyable. PS: the friend was and is again a fujoshi.

just think of the MC as the "AI" of the vending machine, who can "interact" with people and decide what route to upgrade/goods to stock

the system is what creates the goods and lets him "upgrade" the vending machine
nobody really knows what a vending machine is, but they slowly experiment and find out how to get goods from MC/vending machine, therefore making use of MC's system.

it's a really nice novel but the mc is kinda...not there? only the FL can somehow "Feel" and communicate with MC
TBH if it wasn't the FL, the people would probably just use him as a tourist attraction or something and ignore mc

 

If FL or romance was not present i think that would remove a ton of fun of this series.
And if MC becomes human by wish, i kinda wonder what he will be able to do in human form... (useless) so kinda hope he can revert back to vending machine.

Does The Gamer count? I don't know that it has a novel, but it's a comic about a guy who gains a system in his own life (modern day, real world), without isekai-ing or transmigrating that essentially makes reality like a video game. There are other people with 'abilities' as well, which is what the system technically is, but they're all typical ones, like super strength and the like. They're all weirded out by him when he tells them, whether they have abilities or not. In short, he's different from everyone because his ability IS a system, one that allows him unlimited leveling capabilities and more.

 

Godamn you are a genius. Everyone forgot the popular series The Gamer. Or because we forgot because it's hard to update or it's because it was obvious that we didn't see it *half kidding*. But yeah also because it's webtoon/manga and also because MC doesn't really bother to hide he got a system (to people who ask).
