I've heard that this is one big masterpiece and looking from the trailer, it did have some potential. So, has anyone watched it? Do you recommend this?
My friend recommended it to me but since i don't have too much time i recommended it too got a few friends hooked on it so it seems good.
Funnily enough, my friend (with a management background) recommended it to me as well, saying I would like it even more, due to my science background and understand more. And like any good tech-nerd, I did a science/fact check, which took around 10-15 min, and then I lost all interest, precisely because I understood all the science. So basically, if you are the type who wouldn't understand the chernobyl incident by reading it on wiki, would probably love it because of the visual story telling. But personally, I simply wouldn't spend hours on it (the same reason i don't enjoy historical movies). It's far more efficient to just read about it.
I give it three thumbs up because that is the what I have on each hand. Jk, but seriously no. Waste of time.
I heard that it was a somewhat dramatized version of the real history, and it would be better to have some knowledge about it before diving in.
I expected a new zombie Chernobyl trailer, but got a live adaptation of Chernobyl instead. Slightly disappointed, but might watch because I like them radiation spikes.
It was nice, don't know about making it.more dramatic. But there is only two parts of the serie that was wrong and did not happen, little details so nothing too much important, like the clothes the kids where wearing when the evacuation started. You need to know too that it was made by America, so the opinion is a little biased against Russia, don't remember the name of the Union, but I think it was only a little biased since the faults that have show are acceptable to happen.
It's not a documentary more like a dramatized version of it. Hence it's not entirely accurate, hell even in real life nobody knows the whole truth. But the message, story, acting, background and many other components of the series is done beautifully. So to anwer your question is a big YES.
*comes here for the poll result* hmm... *was interested but thought it's jammed with difficult to understand stuff* i see.. since many said yes maybe it's not sleepy... do i have to bring lots of tissues while watching it?
I don't think it's a sob story. Seems like political drama, people blaming people and trying to cover it up or set someone up, that kind of stuff.
