Funny, seeing Sid interact with all the other members of shadow garden even though they are on totally different pages yet somehow are able to keep the conversation going

I really liked it at first, but then the mc's misunderstandings started to really hurt the other characters, and it just made me angry

One of good isekai japanese novel involved misunderstanding on advanced level.
MC has incurable chuuni, and i would say his real power actually "protagonist correction" because anything he said become truth although he act randomly all times :D

Its funny but cringe novel imo. Enjoyable at first, but its become so predictable. I just reading it on bulk for now.

A different take on the overflow isekai genre. Starts like a parody of your typical superhero with double identity story and the protagonist could not be more chuuni even if he tried but after a few arcs the plot sees its cores stabilize and the story catches on.

MC is trying to rule the hidden face of the world, just that he is so clumy that will end for save the world first. Maybe.

So you can translate without reading the words/characters?
Is it possible to learn this power?

The thing about To be a Power in the Shadows is that most of the story relies on gags and misunderstanding humor so if you're not the type of person who appreciates that type of humor (or it wears on you fast) you likely won't enjoy this story.

Personally I liked the gags and humor even after 200 chapters so I still enjoy it but it's understandable why people don't like it.

I enjoyed the first 100 chapters or so but using the same jokes, again and again, got old for me. After that, I found it boring to read until the latest chapter. The idea of using misunderstanding this way was innovative in the early chapters at least, the author just stuck to his theme whole way without adding anything new.

I think that it's a very bad book but I admit that I dropped it very early. It's a real shame because I love misunderstanding comedies.
