One thing that distinguishes a god from a god like protagonist, like in a xianxia, is the atmosphere of reverence, and I think the story that does the best job of this is https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/9597/the-breath-of-creation-dropped It is dropped, but it ends in a good place and there are almost 900 pages of great content before that, so I very much still consider it worth a read.
