Would y'all be interested in a forum based survival game? The setting A cliche setting where people is stranded on an island. On that island, there are several, small tribes. Some are harmless, some will kill you if you step foot into their territories, and some are cannibalistic. You will do your best to survive on that island until help come. Luckily for you, one of the pilots survived and he have a survival kit and first aid kit somewhere on the plane. However, the foods will only last for 1-2 days depend on the amount the people. So..... you will be split into groups, explore and scavenge the areas of the island and return to the base. You got to have a base right? The base would be the stranded site. In the base, you could rest, eat, protection (sort of), mope, etc... Unluckily, the communication tower have lost the signal of the plane, so it'll be a while for them to find you. Game play RNG: weather food materials Hunger, thirst, health, and energy stats thirst will go down every 30 min hunger will be every 3 hours Energy will go down very fast, which will make you more thirstier and hungrier Health is well, influence by hunger and thirst, you will less likely to get diseases if you have high health bar, basic stuff. I would like to have ideas on how to improve the game and feedback. Spoiler: Disclaimer This is just all talk, and if anyone interested to make the game, feel free
Maybe an actual map or an ongoing maps of the area. Who was on the plane. Where in the world is this island. What is the time frame until rescue.
This is more D&D than anything. Comparing them is like saying you like apples. So you should like oranges because their fruits.
done well, you will have to find parts of the map yourself, the map would already be created yes, but you missing out on the role play experience?
If your going to have multiplayers interacting or a dungeon masters. Than I suggested an on going map. You would of course let the players run wild, but if you want to implement challenges. Your going to have to be able to interact, especially if you want to add problem tribes. Also players will sometimes cooperate to achieve better results. But if your aiming for a single player. You might be alright.
Duly noted, but I want the game to be a multiple players but at the same time not? Like there would be problem tribes but at the same time there would be problem players?
Wasn't the point of my comment. There was NO comparing it all. I simply said I could play games or read a book about what this "D&D" style of RPG is wanting to be instead. She asked a question, I answered.
on those types of games, I would find it difficult to role play because I would focus on grinding and of my introverted self.
That's fair. I only commented because you asked a question. I simply answered what I would rather do, lol.
The problem is you didn’t answer her. In fact your sarcasm was an hindrance. She ask for feedback on improving her game. Let me ask you how is that helpful in anyway?
" "Would You be Interested in...?" Is literally the title to this post. I said NO in the poll and answered this: Sarcasm or not, I still answered the question to this post.
That almost sounds like a joke. You hear the first part of the question and answer with the first thing that pops in your head. Even before you heard the whole question. Let me break it down for you. Would you be interested in .... I would like to have ideas on how to improve the game and feedback.
Wow, just wow, how badly do you need attention? Not ONLY the title, but the first words on her post is a question. " Would y'all be interested in a forum based survival game?" That's the WHOLE POINT OF HER POLL. The "I would like to have ideas on how to improve the game and feedback" HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE POLL and subsequently the question she herself asked. My god, this entire conversation with you was pointless and completely retarded. Seriously, don't message me again. For fuck's sake.
ok, I would like it to end here @Cutter Masterson thank you for your idea @Akemua thank you for your opinion
Not even really an opinion, I was being a smartass. Honestly, sorry for bothering you. I didn't realize it would be such a big deal to other people, lmao.
you two are reasonable people so it's cool I would honestly just watch but the arguments are getting repetitive
