You can cash in and cash out, lot's of casino games etc. The game would be sold on all consoles including PC.

I'm interested how it would effect the loosely regulated videogame industry.

Gaming's latest development where every AAA game publisher seems to want a casino or lootboxes in their AAA game.

    Real cash.

I'm interested on whether or not such a game would have an impact on the current videogame regulations including microtransactions, lootboxes and all the current nickle and dime schemes employed by the largest videogame companies today.

What is AAA? Haha for me it will be more addicted to people, create new gamblers, and future corrupt people. So I think it will change or evolve the way people play or this Game.

Having been in the industry before, it'll be heavily regulated. Like, you need to get approval from EVERY jurisdiction that it will appear in - is it fair, does it meet all their gambling rules, are you on their blacklist, is gambling legal there, is money properly dispensed and taxed - so it'll take a lot of time and money.

That's why those game companies are trying to pass off loot boxes as NOT gambling.

Real cash in, fake cash out or real cash in and real cash out?

Ohh, only one of them? How generous do you make AAA game publishers to be? Game publishers now are close to making you pay $20 to buy a lootbox then you have to play a slotmachine/rullet to see if you can keep the item or not.

Yes, it's a casino with a basketball minigame addon, and if you want to play the minigame then you have to pay dubble the price of the original price on the game (might also have to watch a real commercial before every round of the basketball minigame).

Honestly tho, i don't know what's actualy happening but that's my impresion from what i have heard/seen.

It is not hard to make such game mate, problems are the rules and regulations and of course the maker will prioritize own benefit thus will tinker with the game, not to mention there are players/gamers who will dabble with the code of said game one way or another to win more and that will make the maker tinker more and update the game thus making it harder, however that doesn't mean that all casino games follow the same rules, albeit what I have in mind might not necessarily be called casino games (there are slots, AAA gambling in a sense but no cash in and only cash out, meaning no dime spent but instead, you need to be connected for hours and watching ads to earn your chances to play and maybe get money from the spin if you are lucky, the min cash out are somewhat high but you will get your money once you reach the minimum amount to cash out), it is not something that will make you earn a stable income but will give you that little bit more cash if you want to paly such games (>= $100) :blobsweat_2:

There are already games like that. You can gamble online, no problem. Usually stuff like poker. There are online casinos. If it was a full AAA game for some reason, it'd still be the same and the same laws would apply. The end. Granted, it'd probably make a splash and there might be new regulation in response or something, I don't know.

    ...

I'd like to see more of a shift towards the type of industry shown in Korean VRMMO novels.

Let me make money selling crap to rich kids, pls!

They'd be subject to regulations and taxes first and foremost before they even hit the public.

No they already put good measures and regulations on digital based gambling. Also it's seems you missed out on something ? Isn't the idea of microtransaction in game is to sell people something for their real money out of nothing ?
