Hai, I'm looking for a novel with loyal friends, a group of people who go through thick and thin.
Kinda like Overlord where they so loyal that it's weird. It doesn't have to be fantasy, sci-fi is fine too. Male protagonist is preferable. And it would be great if it were completed.
If anyone can help is very much appreciated. Thank you so much.

Try, Kyuuketsu Hime wa Barairo no Yume o Miru. It's very similar to Overlord in my opinion, but still vastly different enough to be unique.

Maybe Trash of the Count’s Family too, the main character's friends basically worship him but his friends are not useless audience members just to make the MC look good either, they're actually the ones that fight while the MC leads.

Youjo Senki might be similar to that in a sense that the MC becomes the leader of a flight wing at some point and her relationship with that specialized wing is kinda similar.

The King’s Avatar definitely. A team of esports madness, definitely some friendship building here.

Rokka no Yuusha...not so much. It's filled with mysteries about one of them being a traitor, but still this has a very good build up of trust and support.

And how can I forget Douluo Dalu!? It has got some of the best team battles I've ever read in a novel.

Uhm, that's not really a recommendation, it's more of a question.

In this novel, called World of Immortals, there is this little crittle who remains very loyal to the MC, even after he's assumed to be death, well OK, he actually died but he came back eventually like every other xianxia novel protagonist. But yeah, it's heartwrenching to look at the little thing grief for the MC for the hundreds of years that he was gone.

You can basically think of that little crittle as his one and only true companion, with the rest of the world as his enemy.

And no, translation hasn't reached that far yet...

Most xianxias are a no go for teams' developments because the MC will eventually become the top murderhobo of which there can be only one, the most you can usually get is the MC carrying the team around or the team sacrificing themselves to prove their loyalty, instead of, you know, being relevant on their own... with that said, there is World of Cultivation, the MC and his friends from his small sect kept leveling up and making a bigger versions of their small sect, there is a focus on armies, generals and teamwork which make the supporting cast a necessity and the secondary characters are there to the very end... unless they die on the way, of course

Mushoku Tensei is great at this, there is a point constantly made that even if someone is the strongest to achieve great things one needs friends or at least team mates to support them, and there are examples of very OP people who fail to achieve their goals because they have no support network and are limited to their own abilities, there are also instances where the MC could have solved problems way more easily if he had brought his friends along, there are also several times where the MC had no reason to be involved on certain incidents but still goes because his friends helped him when he was in need

Chrysalis from Royal Road, the MC is a monster ant and when he returns to his colony he becomes very attached to them and they to him, further generations of ants prove that they are too attached to each others, its an ant thing

Shen yin wang zuo has a pretty nice group of friends, all following a male protagonist

But Transcending the nine heavens sounds like it's exactly what you're looking for. It has a male protagonist, and his bros are super loyal to him, and their friendship and dependence on each other was really enviable. Also, hilarious interactions and bro moments are awesome in this one

    Edit: typos

Sorry, i can't think of any non-fantasy/modern ones, i'm kind of a sucker for fantasy... And the modern stories i've read didn't have these good friendships in them :blobpensive:

Hope the others can help you though, i'll also comment if anything comes to mind! :blobfistbumpL::blobfistbumpR:
