If boy, you can just complain how you've lately been tired of women and wanted smth different. Your mom will match you with girls she finds suitable.

If you're a girl, ask your mom if she has good "exciting" material and/or that you think your dad spends too much time with his male friends, and a friend recommended those books once as research material on why your dad behaves like he does.

Oh yeah, personally as a male, being a fujoshi doesn't really make a person un-dateable or wrong, nor does it imply a person's sexual orientation.

Depending on persons I'd be mentally shipped with, it might also be a source of good fun sometimes.

So, just saying, exceptions exist to every rule.

Finding a suitable exception, though, may be hard. But not impossible.

As such, no matter the outcome, as long as you live, it's not imho really worth being stressed about.
