    Hi friends!

    Let's imagine a situation.

You meet someone online who sweeps you off your feet (literally, XD) and you start to feel that here is someone with whom you can spend a lifetime, but there is zero possibility that you will ever settle irl (different nationality, religion, etc etc).

Will you still acknowledge your feelings and choose to be in a virtual relationship?

(Taking into account that your partner feels in the same way and has full consent to it.)

.... Well I guess. As long as I am happy idc. Besides reality is something we just accept it is. There is no such thing as nation or religion. The world has no boundaries in it's own reality.

But I won't hope for one. It's nothing one should pounce on unless they are privileged to cope with it. The things I said earlier are just philosophy I guess.

*remembers the great fiasco at home over NRC*
So you won't mind living inside a virtual world?

as long as there's no money involved its fine, and if there's money involved that would be a different thing and you should reconsider your relationship then

I think it might be okay at first but it would hurt me more in the long run and perhaps even drive me crazy. Not being able to hug someone you love dearly, not being there when something goes wrong in their life, not being able to simply share a bucket of ice cream... This is just me perhaps but well...

Me, personally, I’d say no. I find real life relationships (“relationships” as in, connections with people, romantic or otherwise) fragile enough, but virtual ones are even harder to keep. I’ve made friendships online where I practically felt like this person was my sworn sibling, but the relationship faded away just like that. Then again, many of my real life relationships have been like that too. I feel pretty lucky I met the guy I did, and am able to have a stable marriage.

But I guess you do you. If it works for you, great. All power to you.

It sounds sweet and all, but wouldn't that hinder you in finding someone irl? Someone that you can actually "spend a lifetime" with and not in perpetuity through messages? A virtual relationship is just that, virtual. You could choose to tell the person about your feelings, but if its an impossibility for you two to be together irl, then why pursue something that can never be?

How is that equivalent to living inside a virtual world? But anyway I won't mind.

Nrc? It's just something we created. I don't personally care about my own race or nationality in particular. We humans are territorial. We don't just set boundaries for ourselves but also others.

Besides lol speaking about politics is banned in this forum so I won't go further lol

"zero possibility you will ever setle on irl."

    With that statement :
Yes, but it will hurt your feeling the more your feels grow. You will begin suspect, she is cheating behind you, she actually toying with you, etc. Its based my experience when im still on junior high school. There's no good ending in this kind of relationshit.

But if that statement doesnt work, then go for it. Who knows, that person would make you be happiest person in the world. Its hard to find people to compatible with, in my case.

All those feelings of being cheated on and being toyed with may come to you even after you settle irl, so that shouldn't be the reason for rejecting love.

If there’s a day when I fell in love with someone and they felt the same, I’ll go to see them irl. There’s no impossible to settle if I’m willing to do it.
