Rags to riches: Can anyone rec me some MCs who go from rags to riches without cheating (like marrying into the giant, having long lost rich relatives, or going back to the past with knowledge of future land development and the stock market, etc.)? They don't need to be billionaires but maybe upper class or being the bosses? Riches to rags: For this, I want to see the MC dealing with his lower social status, adapting to being a nobody, and accepting honest work. RAW novel recs are excellent too. Thanks
I am a Chef in the Modern Era Maybe? It’s a really light hearted one so it might not be what you wanted but it does have MC go from a high scholar position to just a chef/cook. It’s really optimistic though, so Mc adapts fast and there’s almost 0 angst on his part.
Riches to Rags: Ever Since I Take Home An Adonis Who Has Lost His Business - Really small chapters, so it's actually a short story. It's very similar to Our Second Master (a BG story, but also very good). In both stories, the ML falls into ruin and loses his money/status, and only has the MC by his side to help him earn back his power.
