@Belli So, does KH ever go through her trial thingy? The first ambition or sincerest wish or something? Like how her master had to get a member of royalty to compliment his candies, does she ever get to that point in the story? And if so, what was her trial? I got a little head cannon that hers is like "have a loving family" and it's like *poof*, done, family already got, and everyone gets warm fuzzies
yes they get the cloud tree bark, but it is already too mature, I think. I remember what they need is something like the very first branch or something from the tree.
Y'all I just read chapter 90 and started tearing up so hard. Spoiler: ch 90 They go to the human world because a bunch of people (such as emperor and empress) pray to Kong Hou to help them because a really big plague happened that they couldn't do anything about. Originally Kong Hou was still not sure but got told by the fortune teller sect master dude (?) that she should go in order to cut off her karma with the human world or something like that. In addition, the secret realm consciousness had told her that one of the ingredients for the medicine recipe they are looking for are in the human world. So she goes, discovers that the plague is in fact this big formation that had been set up by evil cultivators, and goes to the city that is the source of the plague. She sees this small kid and he is like are you an expert martial artist cuz i saw you flying, does that mean you can leave? the kid gives her this small jade and tells her this is a treasure passed down from his maternal grandma, who was a princess, and it's a really good thing. Kong Hou asks what he wants, and he goes into his little house to bring out a baby and he tells her that he wants her to bring the baby out and it's fine to take her as a slave or a maid and that she won't eat a lot and just promise that she can grow up and that he promised his dad to protect her. And I was tearing so hard like this little kid didn't want Kong Hou to bring him out of the city (which is being enclosed by soldiers so that no one can leave), but rather his little baby sister! ;A; so sad Anyways, kinda random, but I just read that section and felt like I had to vent about it a little.
Spoiler She gives the jade back and reassures the kid that she will not only save his sister, but also him, and also the entire city. The kid is obviously doubtful and asks her are you a doctor? And she's like no, I'm a relative of your maternal grandma (the princess of the former dynasty). She flies off with HZ to the formation. After thinking, the kid guesses Kong Hou's identity as the former princess that was able to ascend to become an immortal and is now filled with hope and thinks that maybe she can really save the entire city. I'm currently at the point where they are at the formation and encountering dangersssss. much danger is happening.
