    In the sense that xianxia seems to have suped up versions of wuxia powers. Because that's exactly what it is. But it's still a mistake to think that the two genres are similar just because they share the same ancestry.

    In general most wuxia don't have ranking systems or power levels. I'm assuming your talking about Peerless Dad because that story has a lot of mention about 1st rate and 2nd rate, but these types of rankings are usually exclusive to this manhwa. In the manhwa Volcanic Age, they use realms even though its based on wuxia, so its basically up to the authors of these stories to come up with they're own ranking system.

    Murim has a ranking system based on the techniques used & inner strength you have.
    Volcanic Age for example talks about how the MC is able to increase his inner strength by 10 years after consuming a beast core.
