Question How chinese authors come up with thousands of chapters?

    Is it just me or the Chinese authors have superpower? I tried writing a webnovel and couldn’t go beyond chapter 30.
    How the freaking hell do they go 4000+ chapters?

    Write a lot with little meaning. Half of their word count is spent on the descriptions for FL and ML about how beautiful/handsome they are.

    make chapter with extreme filler. i remembered TMW got a chapter dedicated how MC pull a bow string. yes 1 chapter only for that

    Basic structure for all arcs, mc joins a sect, offends a young master, defeats him, offends an even bigger young master, defeats him, an elder comes up and so on. A girl shows interest in him, it leads to above scenario again.
    Also when most top novels and authors follow this formula, it is easy for others to copy.

    Make a chapter or two where random people praise the random unimportant person that the MC kills with no effort.
    And be sure to also use half a chapter describing the each move that people use in a fight and another half a chapter for what happens when the moves collide.
    Then one and a half chapter describing how people/world reacts to the fight.

    Repeat this for every character the MC fights, you may make the diffrent parts longer if you want, but this is the minimum lenght.
    Then just... rinse and repeat.

    Take some cliche for advice :
    1. There always stronger villain than mc everytime, even when mc become god.
    2. Harem catch plot, saving girl from demise, girl fall for mc. They got together, later the girl will be forgotten and only mentioned when it needs.
    3. Filler, praise the mc arc, praise the sun!
    4. Think about new ways to increase mc power. Probably something like 'blue jade moonlight' 'fiery dragon breath' etc. Thousand chapter of CN novel probably has hundred list of item help him in the way :blobhero:

    You need to think less like a writer and more like a used car saleman.

    When someone punches, you sell that punch like your life depends on it. You go into detail about its life story, and the life story of everyone who witnesses said punch. Yes, even the baker down the street!

    Ancient tomb that opens once every 10,000 years? BLOW OUT SALE! Once in 10,000 year tombs are now open every Tuesday!

    SELL! SELL! SELL!

    And what car sale is without hot girls? You need to have dozens of them, with all of their hot actions described down to how tiny and beautiful them raising their hands are. Each taking turns posing around the car to make it more desirable!

    Last but not least you need jealous people! Their whole life stories and them constantly pestering the MC. They will throw out all logic, all their plans and their lives now circle around the MC.

    And that is how you get 4000 chapters, its all once giant infomercial.

    My favorite trope is when they write chapters ranging from 500-1k words and then pull 2-3k words then the outlier 5k words because that's when I start to think ah, Author-probably need a lot of money this time, lol but then again I'm probably spoiled from fanfic authors who churn out a minimum of 900 words per chapter or fanfic authors who release drabble chapters that are 500 words at the minimum

    China is the master of making rinse and repeat mobile games.....they can do it for novels too......playing gacha games with daily repeated quests is a great inspiration to the cross-legged authors.....

    Quite literally, I read martial world & and other novels. There were times when I skipped half a book because it was the same shit over and over again. Man they have mastered the dao of repetitiveness to well whatever the final stage for whichever type of "rankings" they use in their books.

    Isn't that because you need to post 3-5 chapters a day to remain on top rankings? So if they get stalled, they just release short fillers to remain in the rankings. Many of those fillers aren't even written by the original author but by his team.

    Its simple. If they cant come up with a thousand chapters theyll be jobless next time.
    Its kinda rinse repeat.
    1. Meets new girl
    2. Villain arrives and steal the girl
    3. Fight and gets defeated
    4. Trains
    5. Fight again and win
    6. Travels to a new area
    7. Repeat from step 1.
