The first light novel I ever read was Overlord. Then I discovered Novelupdates. The first Chinese I ever read was Warlock of the Magus world.

Before I know NU I first learned about LN from Baka-Tsuki, I think the first one is 6/7 years ago when one of my friends introduce SAO to me and I got curious about the continuation after the ALO arc so I search for the LN. after that i binge reading some famous LN like LMS, TnY, slime tensei, kumo desu ga, Baka to test, mushuko tensei, and others. i don't remember which one introduce me to NU but these are my earliest reading list.

My first novel was GOBLIN SLAYER.
when i searched for manga raws i found that it has a novel so i decided to try it.
Before that i know that novels exist but i thought who read these long stories so i never touched it.Because of GS i started to read LN'S.

And for CN novels,it was SPIRIT BLADE MOUNTAIN.
I read this manhua because of the hot master so i decided why not also read the novel.

As for KR novels,it was everyone else is returnee.

'Rise of the Shield Hero'. Read the manga but got stuck on a cliffhanger. Searched the title on google and I arrived on NU and then Yoraikun's website. Mushoku Tensei after that sealed my fate as a webnovel/fan translation reader.

Probably would've gotten into light novels sooner, but was quite into scanlation at first. Got pulled in by Coiling Dragon after the golden days of manga passed.

I'm pretty sure it was a Villainess novel or something similar. I was probably recommended it and thought: "Sure, an ojou-sama story will do well to entertain me as I download more games." And then three days pass and I've binged 5 villainess novels and my peers and teachers are like-

"...What are all these animu pics and words on your screen??? nani????"

I believe it was Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, way before I knew what NU was. And then it was Legend of the Sun Knight? (Apparently I've a thing for legends, huh.) I can't recall how I found those ones exactly, but they sure did pique my interest.

No game no life was my first. I don't remember the order of the rest, but some of the early ones I remember reading are Classroom of the Elite, Zhan Long, Tales of Demons and Gods, Long Live Summons, OreGairu, and Re: Zero

    Desolate Era

I used to love mangas and when there was almost no good ones for me anymore I decided to read some novels, just chose any one and thank god it was Desolate Era - a good one.

    Return of the Condor Heroes

It's the first Chinese novel I ever read, and indeed I read it as a way to learn Chinese. Also, while I have read a few better Chinese novels, this title still remains my favorite of the bunch. Having some really good protagonists and compelling conflicts goes a long way. The English-language title is pretty bad for various reasons though.

The first one I read was Overlord a few years back because I couldn't wait for more seasons of the anime, but I wasn't into WNs back then and would just read one maybe once every few months

Then last year I couldn't wait for more of King's Avatar so I read that and gradually started my descent in being obsessed with WNs (not really, but compared to reading one every few months it became one every few days/a few a week so...

I read some novels here and there but wasn’t so keen about keeping track of everything back them. I think what really got me into NU was Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken...after that I started searching for more interesting JP novels and found the villainess tag and read Bakarina and other series. Every once in a while I looked for things to binge read on my days off after I moved out of home because I was lonely and the time difference made me conscious of reaching out for my irl friends and disturbing them.
After that, it was downhill on long CH and KR novels because they updated faster lol
