I'm so confused... title says poll, there isn't a poll. title mentions Villainess vs Isekai, but you don't offer any info as to what about these two topics we should be choosing from. you say something about BL at the end of all of it but no other mention of BL, or context that this might be about bl in the first place. you've even scared away meatbun-san(@GonZ555 )

... this feels more like a bully now. So let's get the thread back on track..
I'll prefer isekai over villainess cause 2 reason:
1. I dont like the politics that will eventually happen in villainess type world to happen to me.
2. I dont want to worry about a pre-determined bad end, i'd rather go blind and make my own end. That way i'll have less regret while keeping my personality as myself.

I prefer villainess because it feels more exciting to see the MC trying to go against the odds. But I don’t like it when the heroine is evil or something. Isekai just feels predictable to me now.

 

true true does feel a little mean.

to the topic on hand, I like both enough that I couldn't decide on one over the other. I like the Villainess genre because I like watching the protag fight against "fate" to determine their own ending. I like isekai for the fantasy of it, Imagine you were thrown into a world of pure imagination with a body or powers to suit this new environment, not bogged down by the trappings of our society and how it demands you work ten times as hard for any little happiness.

you could be thrown into a world with just enough power to survive or even OP powers to flourish in this new environment and it wouldn't take much to eek out some happiness
