The MC was betrayed by their lovers and a system appear to them saying it is willing to exchange their love for their lover with anything they want. So the story start from there where the MC started to get their revenge. All MC and Scum ML are different people (so far from arc ). I enjoy the two arcs so far as it feel so much nicer for the MC to ditch the scum MC and does not washy washy just go back when ML say i am sorry and all kind of things. Spoiler: Arc 1 & 2 Arc 1 - start with our MC catching his boyfriend having sex with one of his co-workers in his office. MC gave up a lot of thing for his boyfriend as he love him and work for a low wage to help his BF to managed his company but it turn out his BF have found him boring and has been having one night stand behind his back. Then BF have this new lover who he want and even want to break up with MC and chase MC away from his company. System at this time appear and in return of his love for BF he get lots of money. MC without love then do not feel much pain over the breakup and started his revenge. He started his own company and have a pretend marriage (to help his mom with his relatives) and started to get his old co worker to join him. ML meanwhile started to realized what he has lost and is trying to get back with MC but MC no longer feel any love for him. Later when MC managed to take over ML company and it ended there with an extra where one of MC co-workers confessed to MC 2 years later and MC said although he does not feel love, he do not mind starting with the co-worker as long as the co-worker remain loyal to him and do not betray him. So they decided to go for a check up and BF over heard about these and started crying over his loss. Arc 2 - MC is a naive student but his father is actually a retired underworld boss. He feel in love with another mob boss who is trying to become clean but the mob boss is a very suspicion nature. Mob boss though MC betray him and he locked MC in the cellar, and have him torture and raped. System then appear to MC and in return for MC love, he gave MC a healthy body to recover to (since in actual fact without system MC will die in a few years due to his broken body) and evidence of Mob boss criminal actions. MC was rescued by his dad and while he is recovering his dad started his actions against the mob boss and getting the police involved. They finally managed to bring down the mob boss and MC confronted the Mob boss who by then realized his mistake as MC did not betray him instead and he was misguided by his subordinate who love him. But mob boss is at fault due to his nature of not checking the truth including blaming his mother for his suspicions nature but in actual fact his mother died protecting and loving him. mob boss got send to jail where he will become jail bait and MC move to live in a ranch (and his adopted brother who loved him decided to move there with him) PS i might not spoil all arcs
Wow thanks for bringing this to light! I've been pretty unhappy lately with some of the novels I'm reading where the MC always goes back to the scum ML, or the scum ML isn't abused enough. I'm excited to read more of this where MC actually stands up for himself. Good system! Save more MCs!
Spoiler: Arc 3-5 As mention I will not spoil all arc in detail, Summary of Arc 3 is about a general in love with an emperor, Eperor make use of General and even seduce him but later want to kill him even though emperor did not know he has already have feeling for general. General give up his love for opportunity to save his solders and later his adopted son conquer the whole empire. No pairing for this and emperor lost his throne. Arc 4 - a bit disappointed in how cliche it is. MC is a doctor and BF is a businessman. MC has a patient who is rich and fall for his BF and use his patient status and seduce BF (drug BF to bed) and frame MC for medical negligence and expose his relationship (which is a no-no ) in the country. MC is disappointed that BF did not believe him and when he found out about BF sleeping with patient broke with him and gave up his love for opportunity to become best brain surgeon. I am a bit annoy at how the author wrote about BF, first BF is written as really in love in MC and he is just too easy to believe in people due to his upbringing (but he is a successful business man so that kind of not make sense) then later it was mentioned BF go searching around for MC for five days non-stop which show how much he treasure MC and yet suddenly he just get a person who look like MC when he cannot find MC make it a bit difficult to think this is one person...anyhow MC did not get back with BF as he got a new ML who even marry him. Patient later become a vegetable since only MC can do the surgery but due to his feeling for the patient the patient need to have someone else do the surgery and it was not a success Arc 5 - This is first story where the MC seems to be a Gong. MC is a underworld boss who was forced into this due to circumstance. He has a shou BF that he care for, help raised and loved fo years and tolerate all the shou bad attitude even when the shou asked to break up with him he still even help him. Until the shou new BF send him a recording of how the shou said he hated MC and feel forced by MC (and yet Shou can happily go to MC for help or money whenever he want). MC gave up his love but he is not sure what he want as what he want is love and a family. So system show him all the people who are really in love with him including ML (CEO /Ex Classmate of Shou). In a daze realizing ML love him he gave up his love for money Later ML started showing up showing care to him and MC started to notice all the small actions that he has miss such as ML know what he like to eat even when they meet not frequently. ML is also happy when he realized that MC has really give up on Shou as he like MC for a long time but since MC was in love with other people he did not intrude but now he will work hard to get MC. They do ended up together and got married after a series of sweet wooing by both side and Shou ended up in the streets having to sell his body to live regretting what he has give up

It is finished Spoiler: Arc 6 & 7 Arc 6 - Entertainment World. Not sure if MC is gong or shou but it implied a shou. MC Bf in this world is also an actor like him and used him to climb the career path way and BF even got married behind MC. BF got married in order to get the wife resources and the story started with MC finding out about this and the wife and mother go the MC hotel room with reporters and cause a scene. BF even put all the blame on MC saying it is MC who forced him to be with him (even when BF is the one who chase MC) and because he know MC do not have any proof he even tried to persuade MC to agree to take the blame and then they can continue their relationship in the dark. MC refused and said he has proof and then BF said to meet to discuss. MC is hoping to get BF wife to say in public it is all a misunderstanding to let the issue blow over and he will just have a clean cut with BF. However BF even arrange for people to cut his car brake line almost causing his death and then system appear. MC trade his love for some money, good movie/series script and most important evidence of the BF being the one who chase him and of their relationship is not a forced one. MC then have a conference with reporters and blew the whole thing in BF face telling everyone that both MC and the wife are victim of a cheater of money and love. Both MC and wife dislike each other but they also worked together in the end to get their revenge over BF making him a pauper and wife even get people to make him unable to have children (she was pregnant with his child but abort it when she realized BF is lying / cheating). MC family is cute in this story, in that his parents accepted his sexuality and even arrange for a ‘marriage match’ for him. They are both professors so the person they introduce is a “geek” scientist who is shy but very nice. the scientist for MC tried to watch all of MC show and chat to MC about it but he had no idea of anyone else in the entertainment industry. after he got together with MC, his colleague still tried to introduce girls to him but he told them his BF is more good looking, richer and popular but no one believe him till they found him with MC at the marriage register. Arc 7 - A bit ...for me if it was longer i would like much better..the characters dont get enough development. MC here is a slow witted son of a princess. He fell in love with a scholar who is a marquis son but the marquis son like MC half brother instead. Then MC caught them and was almost killed by them including his maid and that is where system appear. System gave him a healthy body (But not a healthy mind) and help him memorize a lot of books. Then he woke up and his mother and uncle the emperor and cousin crown price took revenge for him after knowing who harm him. Rest of the story is ... about how another scholar is already in love with MC and how MC show off his skill in a party. Interesting character to me is he mother and a general who decided to woo MC mother after returning from the border.
Back to no pairing Spoiler: Arc 8 MC is.a guide (?) and ML BF is a prince who is a warrior / sentinel. Guide can help to calm a sentinel when they get in to a frenzy. MC and ML have 100% compatible ratio and was going to get married when MC found out about ML having xxx with another women. ML do not understand why MC react like that as ML was raised in the way of ignoring others just caring about his need although he does love MC. So even when MC does not want to marry him anymore due to this he just ignore it and imprison MC. Even when MC started refusing food he did not visit MC until MC tried to kill himself. He just though MC is having a angry mood and it will pass over not remembering MC telling him about how he hated and cannot accept betray due to his childhood. So when ML was there MC did the last soothing for him and destroy his own mental powers. ML got married with another women who also love him and have high compatibility with him and had the intention of keeping MC still impriosn by his side by ML mother do not like MC and got him send to far away planet. System contact MC at this point and MC being very clever asked MC a few questions and we realized system is collecting love for a reason, is restricted by a lot of rules and cannot let people know about its existence. MC exchange love for his mental power back but in a different form, money and new identity to escape the royal family and books for medicine. In the new federation, MC became famous alchemist who is well protected by the people and it was only when he reveal himself that ML found about him and tried to get back with him. MC refused and with his reputation ML is unable to force him and MC live his day out in the federation ML later died when he tried to get to a higher level as his wife refused to die to help him. His wife was actually in love with him but due to his negligence and womanizing way resulted in hatred from her and even his son ignore his death as he ignore his son too. His wife later remind their son if in the future he get.a guide that is comparable with him should treasure the person well and not be like their father.
oh thank god there's ML...i thought the ML is the scummy one oh, the MC in all world are diff person? only the setting is similar (BF is scum)
Spoiler: Arc 9 and 10 Arc 9. Mc was set up as a substitute by BF who love his own cousin which is not acceptable and even tried to use MC to die for his cousin when his cousin killed a mob boss sister. MC gave up his love for money and survival so he went overseas with the mob boss and later they come back for revenge against the cousin and BF. Mob boss n MC get together in the end and BF lost his business and cousin lost both legs and become a beggar. Arc 10. MC is a Ger who was abused by his relatives when his parents pass away. His fiancé the son of s duke pretend to love him but actually want to marry his cousin as Mc face was scar by this cousin n aunt. MC was almost raped during a party and when his face which was swollen due to a cream given by his aunt Fiancée took the opportunity to break the engagement. MC later exchange his love for recovery of his face and learn skills on how to be a good Ger as he intended to enter the palace harem to use the emperor power to help him get revenge. MC was successful and due to a pill given by the system was very fertile and gave birth to a lot of children and later become empress. The system is actually a deity. The deity has a childhood friend who confessed to him but due to surprise he rejected. Later he was going to give it a try at relationship but his friend had out of spite ruin 10 people lives by tie them with scum BL. So MC took the time and effort to correct the wrong and asking them to give up theirs love is to remove the wrong red thread. MC did not get together with friend at the end. (implied)
Hmm...it's interesting, it's world-hopping but the actual main character [the system] of the entire novel is not really prevalent it seems. I feel kinda iffy about it, i guess there's that satisfaction of the MC of each world getting their revenge and do not forgive, but at the same time, it seems the true culprit of this whole thing did not get his just desserts tho...at least there's no detail about it via the spoilers.
@Jadeite524 So, it's like a short stories. Is the system story important in the whole? I felt it's not that important.
The system's story is more to tie up loose ends and explain why this all happened. I feel like it's mostly there to tell the audience that the system is not some kind of evil Faustian villain who's going around trading for people's emotions for some nefarious purpose, but rather someone who's fixing relationships that were never meant to be. I do think the actual story in the epilogue leaves much to be desired. For one thing, it's the only arc where the scum male suitor, who caused all this disaster in the other 10 arcs, never got to be truly punished for his crimes. He was basically put into jail for a bit of time, and was even released early because of the system deity's intervention. So the only real consequence was that he definitely killed any possibility of system deity returning his feelings. Boo hoo. But he's still a god and he still has the power to make more disasters in the lower worlds if he wanted to be spiteful again. It feels unsatisfying that all the other scum males in the arc worlds got punished for their wrongs, but this guy who directly caused all of this to happen just got a slap on the wrist.
@charysa What kind of punishment is that....a boo hoo indeed. Reading this kind of short stories is also good imo. Done with this, let's go to the next XD So no filler plot, no dragging.
Yup just like what charysa has said the system is just to tie up loose end. Actual villain do seems to get off pretty lightly
I wonder if this has something to do with culture in China where as long as there is compensation (here it is the system), then there isn't a pursuit for justice.
