Well are there any novels with a bitter protagonist who was wronged or just became bitter because of all the crap he went trough and wants to get back at the cause? Like in a novel with stats and classes and such where he has a crap class and no matter what he does nothing works but then when he finally finds a way to improve he tries to get back at the gods or whatever is the cause of his problem. Or someone who was betrayed or treated horrendously goes his own way to improve and somehow get back at them. Or someone who was kicked out of a hero party (that seems to be popular at the moment) and does not go to some far off place to live a nice live etc but who trains up and gets shit done instead of the hero party or simply joins the demon king out of spite. Or anything you can think of. I just want a bitter protagonist who got wronged by others and is not some edgy kid that goes "oh I hate everything and cause of no longer repressed anger I will be so edgy and cool that I will burn the world. But wait cute girl joining my cause in the first 8 chapters gotta mellow out" .... I want someone who at least to some extent really manages to get things done and is no edgy kid that mellows out far to fast.
Pursuit of the Truths , I can't think Protagonist that more miserable than su ming Betrayal? Check Being Manipulated like a puppet? Check Family is Fake? Check Homeland is turn out to be illusion? Check His lover is fake? Check
Maybe Experimental Log of the Crazy Lich Country got destroy cause of betrayal of several faction Brother replace him becoming demon prince Got nice few friend, end up killing one of them and "killed" by them Got "girlfrind", end up killed by her Almost killed by his own teacher and student Sheat luck, fighting op god every corner while power level really suck Virgin but have more than 300+ children Create hell cause the gods keep fahking mortal world Trying to save the world, one of the most hated and feared person in the world Oh and troll system, you wanna cheat and the power of golden finger..?? You're lucky the system didn't change your gender.. Friend of beifeng.. But the story is kinda comedy/parody...
Hmmm.. That's sounds like 1. Reverend Insanity 2. Experimental Log of the Crazy Lich Even though the MC tell the story with his comedic undertones, I still can't help but cry with every bittersweet moment in this novel His life is too tragic
I believe you're looking for 'The World of Otome Games is too tough for mobs'. Give it a try, at least the MC knows his shit and will not hesitate to hit a royal
Sorry for the late reply. Pursuit of the Truth I already know since it is from Er Gen and I read everything from the Shared Universe. The Dungeon Seeker too but that one is kinda to edgy. I read Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari ages ago. Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is well I can't get behind that I will sacrifice myself every time thing. Experimental Log of the Crazy Lich ages ago but it never hit the right spot for me. The World of Otome Games is Tough For Mobs I gave it a try but the whole otome system and everything just does not do it for me.
I read that too and well he sure is stoic and cynic but in the modern setting. In modern settings with internet etc so he is a heavy example of red pilled modern MC. But even so if I remember correctly Spoiler he bit the bullet at least 2 times to take the fall for someone else in a social kind of way and he also does not really fight the world that red pilled him but still thanks. Also read that and well you are right is a pretty good example but the novel has a few things overall that kinda do not mesh with me so I did not even think about it in this thread.
