they usually do. mostly because of the background audio not sounding like it is lowered. But sometimes they can be better than the original.
there was an anime (school rumble) on my country that they perfectly did the dub,I personally even believe it is better than japanese original voice. I also can feel the enjoyment of doing their job. Edit: well there were a lot of missed joked tho, the dub did great on some puns and made a dubbed counter part of it, but since school rumble is a pun rich anime, there were a lot of miss
I just find it weird to see japanese art with english voices. it doesn't match... ok I finally got off data and watched it. I still don't like dubs
I can't watch a sub while doing something like cooking so dubs are what I prefer means less effort to watch also I knew someone who got motion sickness from watching subs which is entertaining
< Downloaded Konosuba BD S1 that has English Audio < Decided to rewatch it in English Dub < It made me laugh more There are obviously extra lines added & slight changes but hey they still stick to the original lines. EDIT: I'm gonna watch ghost stories for the dub!
Apparently the cast were given free reign over the dubs except for the names and places. So they had their fun. You can find other videos of the same dubbed anime too.
Full metal panic Gundam 00 Gundam unicorn My hero academia Hinomaru sumo Eden of the east Ghost in the shell Gakuen tantei Q Gundam wing Violet evergarden Fullmetal alchemist (not animax dubs) Yugioh Etc. There's a lot of anime with great English dub Also not all japanese dub sounds great, goku's voice sounds terrible, who was the dumb f*ck who thought that making a very manly planet crushing monkey sound like a squeaky teenager?
You do realise that to make your point, ghost stories dub is not the correct way. That's just dumb. They changed the lines purposely to make it better, you like the lines which makes it vastly different to the sub version. If that was in Japanese you'd think the sub version was good too. The dub of ghost stories is basically it's own anime, if you want to make a comparison it would be stuff like Haruhi or School Rumble.
Doesn't match? What about stories set in Europe? Full Metal Alchemist? Cowboy Bepop? Just accept that it's just bias. Sometimes stemmed in fetish. No judging of course but your argument has zero legs to stand on. A good dub would cost a fortune. Companies are just lazy What about.. French stories adapted to anime? Radiant? I can do this all day
