Rise of humanity for sure. Tales of Herding Gods as well. The main characters are gems and the world building is top notch in my opinion. One is based on old chinese myth a lot and tales is more of a realms and dimensions type thing with the main world slowly unearthing itself and its mysteries as time goes by. Both are great just read.

What do you mean by "good", I think that fang yuan in Reverend Insanity it's a pretty nice guy :blobowoevil_horns:, mmm I think I remember a jap novel with decent world building but I think that novel was in hiatus so I'm not sure, anyway the name of the novel was tuskiga wa michibiku something, cn novels try history number one senior /funder same author the dude knows his stuff and both novels have a pretty solid building

SO GOOD. The end of the first book (around chapter 213) really kicks you. The overarching mystery is nice, and the MC isn't overpowered which I liked in this story because there's a sense of struggle/crisis. And the setting is really cool too- secret societies, magic, gods, all during a victorian-like era. Heck, even the first few chapters reel you in: He wakes up with a bullet in his head!
