Salt

Salt is very good not only for seasoning your food, preserving your ingredients, blocking ghosts from entering your home or repelling annoying people. It is also good for repelling rats! That's right, rats! Ai-chan's home had a rat infestation lately and Ai-chan put a line of salt at the door where the rat was supposed to be coming in from.

The next day, there was no more rat. Ai-chan waited for a week, while keeping that line of salt at the door and the hole it's supposed to come in from. It really works, there has been no more rats since then. But why?

Ai-chan isn't Todd Howard. Being a scientist, Ai-chan wanted to know why it works instead of just accepting that it just works. So guys, your theories, why does it work? How could salt repel rats?

I take a bath with salt water when there's a sudden rash all over my body with unknown causes. Works every single time.

 

There is a solar power plant in the US that uses salt as a form of heat reservoir or heat battery. Basically the salt is heated , then the heated salt is used to boil water. The reason they heat the salt is to hold the heat for longer making it possible to use solar power even in the middle of the night as long as the salt is still hot enough

 

Rats actually eat salt. I think they just ate so much of your salt that they died from sodium poisoning.

Also, this is the most effective method of killing rats.

My approach is old school. Lay a trap to see where they burrowed their way in, find the hole and seal it with plaster. No more rats inside the house.
Still can't find a way to completely remove monitor lizard.

 

Hmm, salt makes blood pressure higher, maybe those rats have hypertension n heart problem.

I never tried that on a rat before. And i sure as hell won't fight them since i even saw a rat the size of my hand. Even worse is my bro told me that he even saw a rat the size of my thigh(which is actually quite big).
