As many of us have experienced with the novels that we love, it's not uncommon for a translator to take an extended leave of absence, often without any notice or explanation at all. Sometimes, we only find out that they're not coming back after they.. just don't. This is particularly bad in the case of translators that accept payment, in any form, for their translation work; but I feel that even hobbyist fan translators, working for free, do owe it to their followers and fans to post a quick announcement if and when they plan to cease translating, at the very least. It's, uh, really not too much to ask.

I would not have believed, before today, that someone could take this responsibility too far.

I have just read, I am sure, the most lengthy and evocative description of an entire family's diarrhea that I am ever likely to in my life. I now invite the rest of you to suffer with me:

I don't know how to answer that poll :hmm:
I mean it is not like a person can know when they will get it or why, it isn't somesort of regular thing that got a fixed time or something, so it is really hard to answer that poll :blobunsure:

And that is the question :blobrofl:

I have no interest in reading the article you posted. But since you did ask for an explanation for my “Other” vote, I’ll explain: I have IBS both C+D. So it’s rather unpredictable. Sometimes I will have diarrhea every day for months. Sometimes I’ll be constipated for months. Every few months or so, I do have diarrhea where my stomach hurts to the point where I sometimes nearly pass out.

Wow, that was quite..... a read. Um... I only have diarrhea if what I eat doesn't mix well and I don't vomit it out.

    Naaah...it's okay.
I'm amongst the youngest of my generation in my family. Some of my older cousins even have kids attending college already. I heard my share of horror stories of kids getting all sort of infectious diseases.

But I always wondered if that kind of situation would happen to me when I have children...
When I was younger I was usually the only one in my family that stayed healthy in most cases so I remember nursing my own mother and making her porridge and soup after my younger siblings had passed anything to her.

As for my detailed bowel movement, I rarely have diarrhea because my constitution leans more towards constipation. It's a family thing, so my mother used to make me drink Yakult every day and eat fiber rich foods all the time since she was scared I could develop an intestinal tumor just like my great aunt.

Yeah, my first thought while reading about the kids vomiting all night long was "at what point are you going to take these kids to a doctor?" ... But, eh, maybe that's an overreaction. The kids were fine in the end, anyway.

Not like it's always easy or affordable to see a doctor, either.
