[Poll] Would you kill a god who kidnapped you?

I need to ask. Why would the god kidnap me in the first place if i wasn't their taste? There are 7 billion others out there.

Nope. I don't actually want to kill Celestial Being-sama, I want to get revenge by having them bow to my every whim and toying with them.

Curious. How would they do that? What kind of love? I mean, I'm sure it won't be with a snap of their fingers — if they were able to do that, why would they have to stick me into a room for hundreds of years to make me "mature" instead of doing something to me instantly? I'm sure they'll want to retain as much of "me" as they could.

Stockholm syndrome (soft approach) seems much more likely to succeed and frankly, I'd prefer that over mind control (hard approach). Mind control is the one I am very much opposed to with all of my being, thus one I'm more likely to notice and fight against.

No, it would be foolish to go for such an obvious betrayal from an unknown entity, and go against the only backing I have.
2. If there was some other method of killing the Celestial, would you take it?
No, because I don't think I'd be able to actually win no matter how good my odds look, so I'd go rather not take a gamble.
3. If you knew the Celestial was going to mind-control (or Stockholm) you into loving him/her, how would you feel?
I would question why they would do that since I am a fairly loyal person inherently. Even if they said they would cut out some disagreeable parts of me I'd just take it as self improvement.

PS, if the God was a male diety I'd absolutely find a way to destroy my soul.

Ohh most definitely that Celestial is dead I mean it's literally been holding me prisoner against my will at this point for thousands of years probably.

Poor poor Celestial it's failed in it's chance if I haven't been stockholm'd by now. Master dog will show him that my mind is so shattered into oblivion after all the life's, deaths, pain, suffering and just plain boredom that it will be an incomprehensible mess even to myself!

I read about the sufferings incurred on me and answered Yes right away. Didn't notice the snake at all until I saw 21 votes saying that the snake is suspicious :v

 

For some reason I feel like I'm unusually sympathetic to the celestial compared to a lot of the responses in this thread.

I mean it's kind of evident that the Celestial wants me to change in a certain way, and is forcing me through experiences so that I do change -- but the trajectory doesn't seem all that bad to me. If anything, I'd be very curious to understand what the Celestial's values are and why they want me to change in this particular way.

To me, I think the most important assessment is what I think of the Celestial's character.

I get that his moral system as a god might be completely different from the moral values I might have as a human, so I wouldn't really weigh too much on the fact that he's not loving in the way that humans perceive love. Or even think remotely in the same way as humans do.

I'm much more interested in how the Celestial interacts with other people and what he does for his job -- and sort of develop a sense of what kind of god he is.

Maybe I'm kind of strange for saying this, but I don't really mind being manipulated if the outcome is something I can be satisfied with. An example that comes to my mind is that my parents were quite manipulative growing up -- my mom in particular was the kind of terrifying person who used to micromanage who my friends were -- and would separate me from any "bad influences" without me knowing (she would do things like cancel activities/afterschool programs on the sole basis she didn't like some of the kids). I didn't really realize this was occurring until she started doing it with my little brother and I was old enough to see it. Like my little brother was literally just starting to make a friend and my mom uh.... removed him.

Um... the little tangent aside, yeah, if I like the Celestial, I don't really care about my freedom or being manipulated.

 

My mom would berate me for my friend choices in high school and insist I make friends with more “pretty, thin, blonde girls.” That was her criteria. She got mad when my friends were too diverse or “ugly” or fat. I didn’t let her get to me, and made friends with the people I wanted to be friends with. But that was only one example of the ways she tried to manipulate my life.

I cannot be sympathetic to the Celestial, because trying to manipulate me as he does, would just put me back into that hell.

 

I haven't quite processed how I feel about my upbringing, but it feels quite complicated even to me.
