Discussion Why do the Black Knights in Code Geass get a happy ending?

I just completed watching Code Geass yesterday and boy am I pissed!
Lelouch sacrificed so much for the world and according to official sources he died in R2 (although honestly I like the unofficial theory in which he survives a lot more) and the Black Knights are given their happy ending on a platter by Lelouch even though they are just traitorous bastards. Why did those bastards get happy endings when they just used Lelouch to get to the top and then betrayed him afterwards? It would have been so much better if they all got tortured to death. They are so useless that they need Lelouch again in the 3rd movie to wipe their asses. It would have been nice if Lelouch survived in the anime and had gotten a happy ending with CC

 

Because that is what Lelouch wanted. He willingly became the villain.

 

Still it would have been nice if they got some retribution for their actions

 

Well, if you look at it from another perspective, they were true to their cause from beginning till then end, I suppose you could say hard work brings good results ¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯

While I personally hate them all to the bone and wish that they get chewed on by maggots while their eyes are forced to watch a hundred iterations of bnp, Lord Lelouch wished for them to live peacefully.

 

There is no Glory in war. at least Lelouch sacrifice have meaning

 

I mainly dislike them because they didn't give Lelouch a real chance to explain. They easily fell under Schneizel manipulations and had him under a do or die situation. Had they been more cautious, or loyal then things would have been drastically different to the point Lelouch didnt have to make that choice.

 

let face it season 1 Lelouch is a selfish scumbag.
only after confronting his father and reconciled with Suzaku they both become bearable.
Besides Kallen no truly believe in Zero, other are ungrateful bastard especially that whiny Tamaki.
However in the end i hope everyone get their happy from Lelouch hard work and sacrifice

 

Ohgi was even more of a bastard compared to Tamaki

 

Why? Outside the timing being off a little their betrayal/being discarded by him was always in the plan anyway you see it in the last episode in the flash back after returning from where his mom and dad was he had a plan in the works to end up with all hate on him and him alone.

 

Well they are brainless idiots in the first place.
Only when Lelouch joined them as Zero did they accomplish anything.

Even at the end of s2, if Lelouch didnt make Suzaku as Zero 2.0 then those Black Knights would be executed and none of their comrades can save them.
The fucking remnants of the Black Knights didnt even move along with Zero 2.0(Suzaku). They just watched everything and moved when Lelouch died.

 

I honestly think Lelouch wanted them all to be happy but yeah fuck them he gave his everything for them and brought them from nothing to the force that ushered in the very world they wanted but instead of any sort of loyalty/compassion/friendship/etc they were like fuck him. I know it's what Lelouch chose but still if I had someone help me as much as he did (he's the only reason they succeeded in any way shape or form) I would've had at least some loyalty and confidence in what sort of leader he is rather than just a random heel turn of "Zero who? Fuck that guy! I'm gonna go work with the people that stood for evertyhing I always hated "

 

Even if he had a plan like that I find them really deplorable because they betrayed Lelouch. They would have died in their first battle had Lelouch not helped them and they would never have reached their current positions at all without him but they had 0 loyalty and just believed everything their current enemy told them.

 

Again it was in his plan anyways. More to the point everything he was accused of was in fact true lol

 

Most of the people follow/worship Zero on the first place and lelouch understand that.
Also those people is nothing more than a tool for him to be used in his selfish desire to fight against his own family.

It is better to leave on your own assumptions, why lelouch cut ties with them and goes full Red Alert 2 Yuri mode after his family is gone.

Mhm, I think there's a theme in christianity that all people aren't deserving

and that people who sacrifice themselves for our prosperity are truly admirable, and that we should learn from their sacrifice
