Not really because of backlash but more like JJWXC is very restrictive with their rules. Literally, nothing can go beyond the neckline. So she really can't do anything except give hints or else HOB would end up locked like SVSSS and MDZS
Ya i'm also thinking thats one of the main reason as well... its just that China is just so strict on this... from what i hear are they still banning time travel related stuff or is that just a joke? Sad that the author's story have to be restricted in this way... i guess theres no other publisher platform that she can change to that give her better freedom to express her creativity?
She could publish her works outside of China (her books have Taiwanese printed versions), but of course she would never earn as much as from the mainland market...
Well, they certainly don't ban time-travel when it comes to writing about them in novels. But for dramas, I believe it's not as severe as before? At least, the dramas I've seen so far allowed time travel. But I think that's because they're web dramas... There are other platforms that allows a little more creative freedom, but JJWXC is like the powerhouse that many people know and goes to.
Kinda sad in a way that she have to restrict herself but its to protect her works so i don't have the right to say anything much. I just silently curse JJWXC's stupid rules and China's stupid ban on gays

It's more like literature in general, not just JJWXC. Honestly, I'm not the best person to ask about this since I only know like 3 platforms: JJWXC, LC Read, and Qidian. TvT So... Sorry. There definitely a lot of other platforms though

Um, I mean like just normal novels typically. Yep. Smut is basically not allowed to be published now. Like I said before, nothing beyond the neckline can be described. This not only applies to danmei, but other genres. New titles will still get published as usual. So far, what I've seen, old/already published novels that had hardcore smut (MDZS, SVSSS, and a lot of other novels) will either get locked or only the specific smut chapters will get locked. Ofc, they could also be locked because of trolls or other issues, but we never know. And you're welcome. But do take my words with a grain of salt.
I cant believe the situation have gotten to such a worse stage..... even normal smut that is not BL is banned as well?? does this happens to JJWXC only or does such a rules also affect LC Read and Qidian etc? I just saw the manhua and I'm screaming! Have you seen how beautiful it is? Didn't the artist say that they will simplify their art style?? Because that's some gorgeous art out there! I hope this time these people won't have a reason to complain. I really wish to see some reactions/thoughts about it.

When I first saw the raws my first thought was "man, the cleaning and redrawing will be a pain" They did it so well. And the translation is so good. I definitely prefer this version in English.
I didn't expect the manga to be SO gorgeous.  I would totally decorate ny house with tgis beautiful art. Truly, I want an artbook now.
We'll get informations about the donghua then, not the actual donghua. I think they confirmed that they'll release it on 2020. Maybe they'll announce the release date? Or maybe we'll get a pv. That's what I understood at least.
