Has anyone here had the Xiu Wen Food duck tongue? I was just eating the few packets that we have left, and I was wondering how much a bag of it was, since my parents rarely buy it.
It was $30.00 on the Xiu Wen Food's website. It wasn't even including the charge of shipping it over.
Does anyone know why it's so expensive?
Other than the fact that it's from China.

Pretty sure I've already eaten that lol.

It was only when I was younger, though, so I don't remember much of the taste.

It's a bit like jelly with a slightly salty taste, it's not bad. Think of it as pickled eggs, it isn't something totally out of this world, pickling isn't as ... disgusting.. as something like balut.

I couldn’t stand the smell of century egg.

my adventures in cuisine are limited to silkworm larvae, rattlesnake and buffalo.

    Never sniff food lol.
Especially vacuum packed army food. They use nitrogen to keep an inert environment and after a time, some of the nitrogen becomes ammonium compounds so it'll stink. So... never sniff food lol.
